Man, I usually try to stay quiet about this stuff (gotta be impartial because I'm affiliated with the shop), but there is too much bass hotness in this thread. I've always loved Chef's silver bullet and Kirk's Poudah Powdah Blue, and that spalted alder KBP4 is SMOKIN'. Can't wait to get my AC!

I'm in lust with the thought of an LG with the exact finish as that KBP4. One day... one day.

The KBP4 have a story that I was told when I bought it. Jimmy built it for NAMM 2010. Chuck Rainy borrowed the bass and liked it so much that he ordered a five string version of it. It really has a wonderful tone.

Yeah! I remember asking you a few questions in a PM just before I ordered it The tone has really opened up over the last year and half - its been all around the country with me by now so its nice and played in.

I figured I'd post this because I don't think there are too many good pictures of the new gold/black stroke AC decal that he's putting on J's these days (P's get a black with gold stroke!), and I think they're really cool.

Here's a pair...Purchased the LG5 from the awesome guys at BSD last year and then realized that my 1977 Ric 4001 (highly modified back in my youth and long retired), kinda follow the same aesthetic. Guess which one hangs in the den and which one gets all the gigs?
