nad, your bass looks great!

Great Scott!

How do the Armstrongs sound compared to the Nordys?

I'm not sure how to really compare the two different pickups, because the two basses that have the Nordy's have active passive switches in them. I can really tell how great those pickups sound without hearing the preamp. My Armstrongs both have Audere preamps in them, that don't have a passive switch. Plus the Audere Z mode preamps are really aggressive! I can tell you that the Armstrongs/ Audere combo is really clear sounding, yet has an aggressive side if you crank it up! The Nordy's/ Aguilar combo sound more refined and hi-fi.

First recording of my Bordwell:

Link Removed

It's a 5 minute compilation of a lengthy drum n' bass jam we did this weekend. The recording is pretty crap, but so is my playing, so there you go.

Crap! Cliff is still waiting for the pickup! Hopefully he gets it relatively soon. On the bright side, I'm biking/training so much of the upcoming races that I wouldn't be able to use it at the moment anyway.

Sorry to hear that man. After seeing the updates this week, it def looks worth the wait though!

Should be here in within the week, I'd guess. Good thing Cliff found this out before shipping it to me. That might have added a few $ in shipping. Very glad I'm dealing with Nordstrand and not Seymour Duncan. The custom Duncans in my Rob Allens added about 6 months in wait time for each bass. :eyebrow:
