Please report here, and with soundcloud mp3s or youtubes if you can.

What would be really cool is if you could record the VF5 with the Fbass single coils, then do the same lines with the Reed James pickups. That way you (and us) can compare how they actually sound, not how we remember them sounding.

This bass is all custom:

34.5" scale (love what it does to the B string)
41 mm nut (easier to reach that B string)
18 mm string spacing
Slim neck profile
5 piece Birdseye maple/bubinga neck

The finish is brown burst NPF

Noiseless pickups that I believe are standard nowadays.

Weight is about 9.5 lbs

I'll make a demo video when I get a chance :-)
