Club Moollon

First post here. I thought I'd share my new bass, as I got a lot of helpful info from this thread. I just bought this P-Classic last week from a seller here in Seoul. He had just picked it up brand new from Moollon a month earlier but was unable to keep it.

Used Moollons are probably slightly more common here in Korea, but they are still fairly hard to find. I was searching for several months for the right one, so I'm glad I was finally able to find this one in a color I like in essentially new condition.

It's 8.5lbs and plays and sounds amazing.

keep an eye on the classafields. one sold a year ago within hours and the only other one i've seen was last week sold that day as well.

thats the one i'm waiting for but in a darker blue.

So I bought the 5 string Jazz that was in the recent classifieds. The neck feels a little massive, has a wee bit of dive, it’s a pound heavier than I’m used to, it was set up by a contra bass player, so the action is a little high… but damn! The bass has tone for days… it is rich, deep, massive, and authoritative. And the B string is killer... it’s an amazing bass guitar (and I do have large hands, do that helps).

that was my only complaint about the J5 was the wide neck (and mine had a lot of hum). Funny enough the only thing I don’t like about the J4 is the neck is thin lol. But that’s cuz I feel better on a P bass I guess

I have fairly small hands, and I thought it might be a problem at first, but the neck shape on the JV is super super comfortable. There is nothing on the market like these... its absolutely remarkable how integrated the B string is tonally. Sounds just like a vintage J with a B string.

Yes, the B string is the best I've had.
