According to Peter, my Satin is in production, so I'm looking at 6-1/2, maybe 7 months upon completion.
I put in my order in February of 2017 but went back and forth on options for a few months. Everything was settled by April 2017. I took delivery of my NYC in February of 2018. 10 Months once everything is locked down seems about right based on my experience.
I ordered an NYC Satin in March and was told about six months.

From the looks of it, the VTC occupies one of the 4 holes in the control plate of a 4 knob plate... unsure of the skills you possess, but it may have been easier to just drop in a 4 knob, as opposed to modifying the 3... output jack relocating, as well (see skills)... if that's what you were proposing.
More than one solution to a problem, of course...

The bass should already have 4 knobs. The kit combines the bass and treble and adds the VTC.
This diagram will get the OP where he needs to be.

He (or she, from avatar) has an '05... from what I read, thought they ordered a VTC to add to an existing 3 knob...
... my bad, if I misinterpreted. Is it stacked?
For me:
- 91% of the time it’s a 50/50 mix
- 6% of the time it’s all P
- 3% of the time it’s about 75J/25P
I have mine just barely past the center detent, favoring the neck pickup. So like 51%-49%, P vs J.

When these start hitting the classifieds I'm probably going to pick up one of the express models just for the heck of it.
Even new they are a heck of a deal, but they will rule the used market.
Nice! Does Roger offer Delanos in his builds, or were those put in afterwards?
The shop will install those on request. They got Roger and Lisa’s performance approval. But, they will not list them as options. You have to ask.
Also, be aware that the 5 string Delano’s with the correct shell dimensions have to be special ordered.
THIS, and if you haven't already, you haven't lived until you do this:
1) Flat wound strings
2) Foam mute
3) 100% neck pickup
4) Loud rig.
