Club Sadowsky!!!

Hey guys...guess I am not officially a club member yet since I don't actually own a Sadowsky...but mine is coming along after 4 long months Kevin sent pics of the two bodies I picked and they are now painted...the moment of truth....which do I pick...I like them both.

What do you think and why?

IIRC, Roger has not changed the 4 string PJ set to Nordstrand, he's still using the Sadowsky PJs built following his specs by Dimarzio(?).

...or maybe even Seymour Duncan... I can never remember. But yeah, you're right as far as I know, the change is only on the 5 string models. I need to remember to say that, it's just that 5 bangers are all I typically play, so I forget to say so.

Been thinking about getting a Tort guard for my natural Metro Standard 5. Just thinking in the new thread...

I just got a (sadowsky) white pearl guard for my natural ash w/ white pearl blocks UV70 5 string yesterday. It looks great and fits perfectly.

I really like the Fralins PJs that I've heard. Can anybody compare these to the Sadowsky PJs?

I believe that's correct. My NYC PJ4 has factory installed Nordstrands, an NP4 and an NJ4SE in the bridge. I had to ask for that as a special request. I believe the PJ5 set is Nordstrands custom made for Roger.

Why did you choose those over the Sadowsky PJs? How do you think they differ? ...or what tones were you going for?

They're NYC's, so they're both gonna' be plenty light, so I'm not sure that's a big decision point on these.
