I officially have the disease. My second Metro -- the MV4 NAMM bass 8 of 10 that's had a few owners here since 2006 -- will be on its' way to me next week. Is there a special handshake I should know?

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to give the Fam a heads up on my RV4 P/J. This bass is for sale and I wanted to post it here before it hits the "For Sale" forum. Hope that's OK.

Anyway, my Olympic White RV4 P/J is for sale. I hate to sell this bass, but I am playing my 5's just about full time now and I need to sell this to help fund my latest purchase, a UV70 - 5.

There is nothing wrong with this bass, with the excepton of a couple of cosmetic issues that were present when I bought it. I have attached a couple of pictures of the damage, one pretty good ding on the headstock and a couple of very slight dings on the top bout. The pickguard has fingernail wear. The bass have been played, but I would say it is in 8/10th's at least. It is fairly light, weights in at 9.6 lbs. Included in the sale is the Sadowsky light weight case.

I am looking for $1,700 for the bass, plus shipping to the CONUS, PayPal echeck or USPS money order.

Hey sps500, your'e welcome! The color is on the darker side, better represented in the first image of my three. The subsequent images I took outside in the sun, and didn't quite account for the color when processing the image.

Played your bass when I visited the shop a few months ago. Think it was my favorite bass on the wall. Congratulations.

Thanks Mr. Sheriff. One of the best fivers I ever played. I have not been too much of a fan of 35" fivers, and have been very pleased with the 34" B on this bass. Mr. Sadowsky really hit a home run with the way this B string sounds. It has a great feel, and even the low C sounds good.

That's cocobolo for you...strong lows and bright highs. Must be the density because that stuff is heavy. Any botanist in the house to explain to us rabble how that works?

Come to think of it, I don't remember wondering what kind of wood it was, just getting tunnel vision when I saw it on the wall. Amazing bass.
