Have any of you all ever contacted Sandberg for support?
I have two Electra series basses; 1 J and 1 P.
The neck on the J has developed a ski jump so I sent an email to the contact section of their website. It's been about a week with no reply.
I bought the bass as NOS from a dealer in Canada and this was awhile ago so no warranty.

My experience with their support is nothing but the best.
I contacted them during the production of my bass and later several times about various customisation and questions. On the other hand, that was two years ago.

They have had messages marked automatically as spam in the past, apparently.
I suggest sending a second similar email.

"Thank you so much for the kind words and for reaching out! It seems that a good deal of messages like this one have ended up in my spam folder, so I really appreciate your patience on this one.

Please don't hesitate to reach out anytime!"

This is what I received with a significant delay after I thanked them for accommodating all the specificities of my lovely Sandberg bass.

Well here I am with no pic. (Shuffles off in a quest) I wasn’t even a lurker here. I just know pretty darn well what I like and what I need in a bass. After being in a head on car accident last January and rendered Unable to play for eight months, I decided that I deserved a new light weight bass. (For therapeutic reasons) Obviously when you go searching for such things Sandburg is very present without even trying to find them. I knew nothing about them but good rep., but I actually believe a lot of what I read, at least here. I also do a lot of research.
I have made several Internet purchases of basses sight unseen, and I’ve had very good luck. This bass takes the cake in that department. The weight, a godsend, with the whiplash neck injury. But the Bass neck, is a thing of beauty. I think it is the best playing neck I have ever played or owned on any bass. (I’m 70/60 yrs playing) it’s definitely an excellent feeling neck.
Oh ….what’s the bass you say?? I just bought the tobacco burst TM5 Superlight which was in the classifieds last week. I was all set to order one but kept looking globally because of my need for light. But wait there’s more. I’ve never owned a coil tap bass OR MM style PU ??
Which probably wouldn’t be too bad but the Preamp is a mystery to me. I own a bunch too, mostly Bartolini, Audere 3 or 4 bands.and some others. It is capable of RADICAL tone changes. Most of which sound stellar. They are not, however, intuitive, at least for me. It’s also voiced with a LOT more high end available than I will ever use. But it’s like crystal icesycles piercing the tone barrier!? Small adjustments can and do make big changes which is taking time to understand. Nothing but fun so far. I know, I know…no pics……bla bla…

Honestly, if I ordered it it would’ve been a lot more $$ with a maple neck, three band preamp and heavy relic. And then there’s the wait time. I’m impatient. Whatev… this is such a great deal the way it is right now. I like pretty much everything about it and I’m giving the preamp a chance for me to bond. All good, I got what I essentially needed. Which was 2 lbs off of my neck. Whew it’s a huge difference.

I've had an order in with them for over a year now, and it's radio silence. I too have had the "this was lost in spam" messages.
I'm running out of faith in this company rapidly. Will be asking for my deposit back shortly.

Yes, much of what you wrote there resonates. There is soooooo much dynamic range to work with and so much high end (but also plenty of foundation which the Glockenklang preamp boosts transparently). It opens so much opportunity to tweak to your heart's content. Mostly I don't desire such dynamic range, but the thing about dynamic range is you can easily reduce it, you cannot increase it (not naturally at least).

I've had mine for a few months and continue discovering more ways to utilize that flexibility. One of the things I recently realized is that it sounds absolutely amazing with a lighter touch. I tend to dig in, because tonally most of my basses respond best to that. That is an adjustment I need to train myself in with my Sandbergs.

I have a question for you guys, or if someone can guide to the place to find answers, I would greatly appreciate it!

I am trying to find out build specifics to Sandberg....like are the finishes nitro? If so, are they all nitro, or just certain models?
Also interested in finding more about the necks...I know they are "Canadian Hard Maple," but do they have any kind of strengthening rods in them?

I can't seem to find a good source for actual CONSTRUCTION information...even on their website.

Hi! I've decided on buying myself a Sandberg, but I'm not sure which one I should go for - I had my mind set o TT4 passive, but it looks like the TM4 does everything TT4 does and more. Still, I'm not sure if I rly need all that - can you guys sell me on getting the TM4?

I've previously owned a TM4 and own a TT4 passive. The pickups in the TT4 passive are really good, vintage sounding alnicos.
On mine, at least, the neck pickup sounds very P-like while still sounding great with both pickups dialled in.

The TM4 I had was great but I'm not a real fan of the ceramic Delanos. Personally I find ceramic p/u's less dynamic in that they seem to have less nuance to changes in right hand technique for my particular style of playing.
For harder rock styles, I think they are great though.

If anyone is interested Im going to be letting this one go. It’s a wonderful bass.

Any potential interest in a trade for my Red over sunburst TT4? Roasted maple neck and roasted birdseye maple fretboard with aged inlays, BL pickups, 7.8lbs.... I love it but I'm more of a 5 string player.

Straight sell on this one. I’m going all StingRay5 Specials. I’ve found my sound and what works for me. Sandbergs are great. I recommend them to everyone.
