I had a guy in Kalgoolie come up to me after we played Livin' on a Prayer telling me that was rubbish and that I owed him a key-change. I laughed and said ask the singer to square you up.
Later on he comes up and "fixes" my line on a song by showing me a pull off onto the E, so I added it to the line on the fly and thanked him over the mic, pointing him out and all.
3rd set he wants to have a chat, while Im playing When I Come Around. So I stand and chat for a bit and finally I make an small note error and he says "Oh, you missed one there"
At the end of the night he comes up, thanks me for all the fun we had, complained how most bass players are pretentious and uptight about 'fellow musicians' getting in their face at gigs, told me about his band, we swapped details....and I never heard from him again!
Since I made over 800 that weekend I honestly could care less who came in and said what (except the band leader or venue owner!!!). My stage, my pay, my way
