SHOW TONIGHT AT THE ORIENTAL THEATER...... Lots of bands and music.
Come out and make a night of it. Doors open at 6:15 and show starts shortly after.

If you buy tics at the door, mention RAZAR EIGHT if they ask for band name.
Hope to see some of you guys out there. I will be playing a fEARful 12/6/1 stack.

FYI, Dan, from Premier Bass, borrowed an Acme Low B-1 Wedge unit from me to goof around with. Presumably, he'll have it at his soiree for anybody who wants to see what it is.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to attend or not. Believe it or not, I was just took my first drumming gig in about 16 years, and it happens to be on Sunday afternoons!

Hey Zachoff,

I'd love to check out that SVT/8x10 rig if you're motivated enough to bring it. The SVT at least? I've got a '74 V4B and would love to check out it's bigger brother... I've never played through one (or a fridge for that matter)!

Andy - Too bad you can't make it! Cool to hear about the percussionist gig though!

Also, I messaged the guys at Gruv Gear to see if they'd be willing to send a few FretWraps my way to promote Gruv Gear. People can try them out and then maybe we'll raffle them off at the end or something, if they decide to sponsor it!

WICKED. I've always wanted to see what the mystique is about that rig. I'm a little worried I'll want one instantly, but I know for a fact that a fridge cab won't fit in my car (Scion tC), so I'm reasonably safe. ;) ;)

I was there last weekend, no 610. Dan's got a Berg 2x12 and a couple 1x12s if I remember right. He's also got some GK, Mesa and Aguilar... including a Tonehammer 500/SL 1x12 (x2) stack that I've been lusting after for a long time now. Eeesh... $2200 stack though!

Got some great news today... Jay at Gruv Gear has agreed to be a sponsor for our get together, and is sending a promo pack with some Fretwraps to demo/giveaway! Pretty sweet!

For those that haven't heard of them, definitely give them a try at the GTG... They can be a pretty handy tool. I used one in the studio while recording for my gospel band's upcoming cd!

Unfortunately, it sold about 2 months ago, and Jim is only making the big cabs on special order.... It was a KILLER cab, as was the 4x12... There's just too much demand for the lightweight stuff.

AVRI '62 Precision from the legendary Fullerton Factory in 1982
Sadowsky Metro MV5
Mike Lull P5
Mike Lull Fretless M5V
Fretless Stingray

I have some other stuff, but its not as interesting. Let me know if you guys want to play any of this gear. I was up at Premier yesterday and they didn't have any of these particular basses on hand. Thanks.

Those would all be awesome.... The fretless lull especially as we haven't had one in the shop that I know of.

Funky, I've got you down on the gear list for that Sadowsky and a Lull... I'd love to check out the MV5 for sure.

I stopped in to see the crew today and hung out for a while, long enough to be a part of an A/B/C between a pair of Hartke Hydrive 1x12's, a Bergantino 2x12 and pair of Aggie SL112's. My dream rig had been a pair of the SL's for a long time, and while all rigs sounded great (paired with a GB Streamliner), my dream rig changed to the Berg cab.

An update to the gear list: Per Dan's request, I'll be bringing my '74 Ampeg V4B. Also, we're ALL really stoked about Zachoff bringing his SVT/8x10.

Woot!

FYI, when I was deeply involved in the audiophile/collectible classic tube amp community years ago, I had a contact who told me the transformers in the V4 were audibly better than those in the McIntosh MC60 units, which are revered.

For what it's worth.
