I found out about 2AM that my sister has the big C (Thank you Facebook). She went to pre-op this morning about 6 and surgery starts at 10:30. They're saying 3-6 hours depending on what happens when they're in there. A few days in the hospital, then home for a couple of months of recovery and whatever the chemo requires.

So - news is good everyone. She's out of surgery. Doing well in recovery. Although somewhat more advanced than the doctors would have liked, the cancer was contained and they were able to get it all. The lymph nodes came back clear. I've already been told that the plastic surgeon has worked some substantial magic, and she'll be back to her old self in not too long.

Glad to hear, Tat. I know you must be relieved that she made it through surgery alright. Very good news about the lack of lymph node involvement. I hope her recovery goes as smoothly as possible.
