HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
My appologies for a little shameless self promotion, but...
I thought that I'm share "The Green Ridge Runners" facebook page for any of you CWBers who are also FBers. It will be kept up to date with news of the CD and gigs of course.
Good luck I sure miss having a drummer. It has been 25 years since I have had a steady drummer.I'm pracicing with Bob tonight. (Bob is the other half of my acoustic cover duo.) I stopped by his business the other day and we grabbed lunch. He wants to find a bassist and lead guitarist, have me switch to drumkit and switch from acoustic duo to more of a rock band. I'm not sure how I feel about it.
Bob has a good voice and is a great guy to hang with. We are friends besides this project together. The acoustic duo format is a good fit in my opinion as we are the only guitar/percusion duo in this area. It made us different. Also, just the two of us has been drama free. Playing drumkit again in a band situation would be fun in it's own way, but I think we'd be just another cover band. He has never been part of a full band and I don't think he realizes what it takes to get a full band polished. Practicing together has never been his strong suit. Luckily, if he gets his part down, I've always been able to find my part quickly and make it work.
I'm sure that the subject will come up again tonight.

I hesitate to post this...
The amount of bad things happening to those around me that I love has been hard to even comprehend. Jackie hasn't been feeling well and went to the doctor the other day. They just called her, they think that she could have a blood clot. I'm gathering stuff together and will be Richmond bound shortly.
I'd ask you to keep us in your thoughts, but it's been non-stop since December 7th. I can't breath I'm so upset.
I am so sorry, Mike. Stay strong man, I remain optimistic that things WILL get better for you guys.I hesitate to post this...

today is turning out bad for me...
a doe jumped right out in front of me... I am banged up, and my bike is not looking so good. I got it out of the ditch, and limped it home... I was worried about it, but now that the shock is wearing off, I think it came out better than I did

Jeez Lee, go get yourself checked out.
I have some good news. Jackie's test came out negative, so she doesn't have a blood clot. I'm packed was ready to head out the door.
She wants me to stay here for now.
I don't think I am going anywhere, for a while. Both ankles are sprained and swelling, and my right shoulder is not moving so well
I live 30 miles outside of town, and the drive to get there would be hell
