Haha, that was good.:D
Speaking of vreepy stalking, I have a story.
I went to the bar one afternoon just to have a beer. The place was empty except for some dude I had never seen before and some gal. There were down at the other end talking and I was watching the football game, enjoying just sitting quiet and drinking a beer. After I was there for about 10 minutes, the lady walks down to where I'm sitting and asks me, "do you know what the difference between a missionary and a mercinary is?" I tell her that, yea, I do. She wants an explination so I tell her. She then tells me that this other dude is telling her that he;s a mercinary. OK I say, and she walks back down to the other end of the bar again. I go back to watching the game.
After awhile, the fella gets up to use the bathroom. As soon as he's gone, the lady hightails down to where I'm sitting again and asks me how old I am. I tell her and she asks me if I have any kids. Yep I say. At this point, the guy comes out of the bathroom. The gal see's him, turns to me and says, 'Some people are just f*****in liars!" And away she goes back down the bar.
I reckon she;s right but want no part of it so finish my beer and leave.
A few days later, my wife and I go to the bar to have a little time out. We're there for a little while when same gal walks in. She sits next to my wife while I'm talking to a friend who's sitting next to me as well. After awhile, my wife turns to me and tells my that this crazy lady sitting next to her is going on to my wife how gorgeous I am (I did say she's crazy). She doesn't know she's talking to my wife and my wife thinks this is just funny as heck. Well, we stay a short while and go home.
So a few days after that, I'm walking down the street when someone walks up behind me and falls into walking along with me. There she is, wearing short shorts and a halter top. "I was looking for you", she says. "Well, here I am", I say not knowing what to say. She starts talking, telling me about her life and such. I'm really not used to stuff like this so I wasn't sure how to deal with it so I just told her I was on my way to meet my wife.
I haven't been to the bar since but I have seen her following me a couple times. :hmm:
She seems nice (and crazy) and I don't want to make her feel bad but I sure don't know what to do.

What? Didn't you recognize me? :eyebrow::p

Seriously, though, if she didn't get the hint from "I'm on my way to meet my wife"....lmao....I don't even know...I'm torn between laughing (cuz you really do have a creepy stalker) and wishing I had some better advice to give. :hmm:

I used to go to summer camp in Redding! We'd hike Mt. Lassen, what a great place. Good memories! I was thinking the other day that the pics of your house reminded me of Lassen, but work intervened and didn't get to post it.

OK, Shingletown is the little wide spot in the road before you get to Mt Lassen...and Nortonrider is right, there is a Deli in the general store (town is that small). Brokeoff Meadows is right up the road from me

tenacious muffers.
If this isn't already a band name, it should be. :p

But a good story because they all escaped unscathed. Remember that wind currents will affect the effectiveness of OC, it might blow back on you too. this doesn't happen with stream sprays much, but remember that it's really difficult to aim when you're scared out of your mind and stream canisters require a bit of marksmanship. I'd go with conical mist, at the highest percentage you can find.

I just realized how weird it is to be posting about this on a bass forum!:smug: Usually things like this pop up on mountaineering sites, funny. That's CWB for ya

Well, I do appreciate all of the advice on how to avoid a bear attack whilst creepy stalking guys who live in the wilderness. I'm guessing I should avoid heels too, huh, or at least go with the platforms that aren't going to sink so deep into the mud.

you are a little closer to me than you thought...I am actually a little east of Shingletown, on Highway 44 (between Shingletown and Viola), but no one knows where that is, So I think I put Redding on my profile

I've been through there once or twice, usually driving truck. Don't much care for travelling anywhere any more, just to Chico or Reno every now and then.

Every Breath You Take - The Police (HQ-HD) - YouTube

Seriously, tell your wife this is happening. Blindsided spouses get unhappy... cool vid back there too, I used to drive a Peterbilt water-truck for the county about 2 decades ago, fun times.

Haha, nice call on the video.
That's sound advice right there, telling the wife. She knows all about the woman who shouted, "SOME PEOPLE ARE JUST F*****IN LIARS" in my face :D (still don't have the slightest idea what she was going on about?)
I've been with my wife for about 30 years now, only relationship I've ever had, and the woman knows more about me and thank God cause I can be a dense dastard at times.

Nice on driving the Petey :p I enjoy water trucks too.

Oh now FM. If you were anywhere in a hundered mile radius from me, I'd be following you, enjoying the view :ninja:
I'm not to worried about this gal. She'll get tired of me soon enough I reckon.

Wear the heels. We can stay inside. :)

So..I decided to swap preamps in my basses. I have a four string Schecter and a 5 string ESP. I really prefer 5 strings now, and the Schecter has a Glockenklang 2 band preamp, where the ESP has a single tone knob for the two pickups. The glockenklang has 4 knobs, the ESP has 3..so I had to drill a hole in the ESP's electronics cavity..not a big deal, right? That's what I thought, right up until I chipped a bit of the finish :bawl: I was able to glue the biggest chip back into place..going to have to use some spot putty to fill in the rest. At least I am able to get the tone that I like out of the 5 string now.

Use pepper spray for bears... Not kidding, that is what Fish and Wildlife carry for bears... But I really do nt worry about bear that much. I am thinking I might just name the blonde sow that is hanging around (a female bear is a sow)... If she starts getting to be too much of a problem, I have a .338 magnum above the upstairs deck door... She would make a great rug.

I think you should call her Fay Wray...but now that I'm thinking about it, there's also Jayne Mansfield, Jean Harlow, Grace Kelly, and of course Marilyn (but who knows how many other blonde bears out there are named Marilyn...there's probably a lot)....
I couldn't think of any famous blondes who had been shot...just in case she creepy stalks too much and has to be turned into a rug...hmm....blonde rug....there's not a lot of that now-a-days, is there? :eyebrow::D

Okay...Grace Kelly is my new favorite. She was a princess after all. :p

If I may give you a tip for the future... Masking tape over where you want to driil. Drill slowly with the smallest tip you have (smaller than 1/8") in reverse til you clear the paint and get to wood. work your way up in size and speed while keeping an even pressure. I recommend a drill press. If you don't have a drill press, use a center punch or a thin finishing nail to "start" the hole and follow the rest of the instructions. I'm gonna be doing that soon with my custom. I discovered THIS recently, and I painted the thing a month ago. :bawl:

At least it's perfect for a Jazz bass. For my Jackson Dinky (six string guitar), I'll be getting THIS.

NOTE: I'm not affiliated with the seller in any shape or form. I came across those via a Google search for maximum number of switching options on an electric instrument. Glad I did, and I'm surprised I've never heard of them before. Such an amazing idea. Wish I thought of it first! The last hot rodded Super Strat I did killed me with all of the wiring. These things are layered PCB's with every possible switching option. My head's going to explode! :D
