If I may give you a tip for the future... Masking tape over where you want to driil. Drill slowly with the smallest tip you have (smaller than 1/8") in reverse til you clear the paint and get to wood. work your way up in size and speed while keeping an even pressure. I recommend a drill press. If you don't have a drill press, use a center punch or a thin finishing nail to "start" the hole and follow the rest of the instructions. I'm gonna be doing that soon with my custom. I discovered THIS recently, and I painted the thing a month ago.
At least it's perfect for a Jazz bass. For my Jackson Dinky (six string guitar), I'll be getting THIS.

Glad I did, and I'm surprised I've never heard of them before. Such an amazing idea. Wish I thought of it first! The last hot rodded Super Strat I did killed me with all of the wiring. These things are layered PCB's with every possible switching option. My head's going to explode!
Yeah..I remembered that AFTER the damage was already done. It's really not that bad..it's on a cheap ESP, so I'm not that upset about it now.

Like that in Game 6 or 7. If everyone on both teams stay healthy I think there is a real good chance we'll see them play for the cup again. That would make for an even more intense & exciting final than last year.
lmao...me too! But T2H is quite the negotiator. If she lived near me, I'd be emailing her all the time, "Hey, come with me on this deal and talk the guy down!"
not believing that FM...I suspect you a are good at batting those eyes, and making guys melt... I happen to know that is a great negotiating tactic... because I have fallen for it once or twice.... OK OK.. maybe three times

Wow. Those switches are nuts. I couldn't imagine trying to make sense of that; I'm happy just getting my pickup positioning right. (I think Music Man may have had that wrong all these years on their single PU models BTW, but don't quote me. I like it better a tick further from the bridge, but it's all good)

Yeah, I'm gonna be using it so I can get my "be all end all" of gigging basses so I don't have to carry around more than one to jams. A Jazz isn't gonna cut it, but its better than carrying an extra bass if I want a Precision sound... The Super Strat I did had phase switching, onboard distortion and preamp, series/parallel, varitone tone control, coil tapping, and something else I can't remember. All I remember is, after 4 days, the wiring was killing me and I wanted to eat babies...
