Damnation Audio Fan/Appreciation Thread

Thanks ! I really enyoyed the official demos and trying to make some myself is indeed more of an homage and a humble contribution to highlight a very cool piece of gear.
Also for pure untertainement purpose I'll try to cover bands / riffs fitting the pedals when possible.
Unsane and Amen Ra here. Next time i'll mess more with the switch, i kinda forgot as it is an always on for me, i like the scooped sound (also why i keep the odb3 as a booster / clang machine when things get too muddy for my ears, or just to get a very aggressive attack over a fuzz)

I'd probably keep it up all the time too :) Don't get me wrong, I'm loving the juicy raunch you get

Anyone use MBD (any variant) for high gain purposes? Played around with it yesterday and it can sound really massive. I might use it for higher gain stuff instead of my muffs.

Sometime I feel like I might want a second MBD as I’m loving it as my always on low-gain tone running into an Origin Super Vintage. Adds a ton of low-end girth and grit, super articulate and deep with my P-bass. Step on the boost and I get a nice medium-gain drive. But it can do high gain so well as well as you suggested!! I’m using a W&C Super Russian as my high gain and a B1K as my medium gain and both sound even better running into the MBD3, it just thickens them up beautifully!

I use my mbd 1 with a bit of clean, gain at 3 and depth at 4… volume to taste but just gets a massive clear articulate grind. I’ve tried a song we do with a combination of doomy ringing chorus with a fast paced verse with a turbo rat or green Russian and just keep coming back to the mbd1

Man , I’ve always had a soft spot for the MBD … had the original grey box , and then the smaller version … this newest one totally rules with the gain footswitch. Finally able to knock a fuzz off my board. Going in the studio in two weeks and it’s looking like the MBD will be the base of my tones

Did it knock the Demhe off, by chance? I've been interested in that one for a while, but haven't pulled the trigger. I also LOVE my MBD (the 2 version), so if this does whatever the Demhe does but better, I can maybe take it off the list... It's a long-term goal of mine to downsize and keep only pedals that get used or have a specific niche I know I'll need. And my fuzz winner is always a Muff these days!
