I caved on the Amp Grinder. I was trying to hold out for demos, but a Damnation Rat has been on my wish list for too long not to go ahead and try... I can't wait to fire it up!

More different than similar. As @davedamage said, not a lot of overlap.
Anecdotally, the Sunder never made it onto my board but the Spite Box immediately knocked a couple pedals off. It is a head turner and really has its own voice. There are some good demos on bass out there to hear it.
So, this should be fun!

I actually spent more time than I ever have with the Sunder Fuzz and did A/B it with the Spite Box. After a LOT of tweaking, I could get sorta-kinda close to the Spite Box with the SF. Like, yeah, probably wouldn't know in the mix if someone swapped them on you. But, in my mixes, most fuzzes sound like fuzzes.
A couple of notes, though:
The Spite Box's depth control is the sex. It brings that unbelievably heavy low low. It's like being able to turn up gravity. The SF has plenty of lows, but in order to reach anything near the SB, cranking the low almost comes across as a clean blend. Maybe even a little honky. It can be dialed back but, like I said, to get anywhere near the presence of the SB, it needs to be up and it still ain't the same.
The Spite Box has been knocking boys off left and right. It shakes things when I rip an open B. It shakes me.
The Sunder Fuzz is actually exceeding my initial expectations and deserves some deeper diving. I may be able to find a place for it yet.
So, my initial thoughts ...
MBD: This is my 4th time buying this pedal. I had two MBD2's that I liked, but not enough to keep. I really liked my first MBD, but it seemed to always scoop my mids just a little more than I liked, but I loved the break up. Then I read a few pages back that "flat-ish" on the MBD is when the depth is at noon and the tone all the way up. I would have never tried that before. So, here we are, with my 4th in hand, and I'm glad I got it again. Set flat-ish with a touch of gain is the perfect always on grit for me. It's enough to know it's not there when it's off, but not enough to easily tell it's not a clean tone. The flat-ish settings also mean that you can turn it on without drastically changing your tone. It just throws a little grind on top of what you are already working with. I'm super happy that I read about this setting (thanks Jeff!).
Amp Grinder: I've had more than a few different Rat inspired pedals, always chasing Justin Chancellors grind. The closest I had come was with a Comodoro Bass Rat. It's a great pedal, but it's more of a Rat with a clean blend. The control set just works for the tone I go for. The Amp Grinder sounds like it has a little more going on under the hood that it letting me get that much closer to the grind that I'm chasing. It sounds REALLY good! Lots of tones available too. If I didn't have a MBD, I could easily see having two set for different levels of grit.
Fuzz Enforcer: I'm not really a fuzz guy (sorry Dave!), even though I seem to have accumulated a few of them. The Fuzz Enforcer flat out sounds killer. Definitely Muff inspired, but more flexible and not as saggy (if that makes any sense). Pretty quiet too for the amount of gain it pumps out.
Now I just need to figure out how badly I really need a Bass Power Distorter and Spite Box to complete the quintuplet of matching fonts!

Okay, I truly have no need, but I finally ordered a Spite Box and Fuzz Enforcer.
It looks Damnation and some other builders are coming down my way for an expo in March. I'm probably going to blow away a paycheck.

Thanks, means a lot ! I probably cranked the depht a bit too early in the song, but I messed up with the Ditto looper and deleted the bass line after take 1, so take 1 it is

That sounds absolutely filthy, in the best possible way, even with the Spite turned all the way down.
