Here's my too-lazy-to-bring-my-tube-amp rig for tonight's rehearsal. The MBD into the BB800 is pure gold. I could probably use just this rig for anything I do, but where's the fun in that?

After I removed my preamps I could tell even more so what the bloop was doing for my signal. What a great pedal. Also I got this Whirlwind bass EQ which is absolutely fantastic. I now have my Alpha Omega Ultra and Rusty Box for sale because it knocked both of them off my board.
I should also note that it makes me very happy to have the Bottle Rocket back on, especially after I heard this is what helped inspire the MBD. They rip together.
Coming over from the Dunwich thread - this has been working really well (I'm running the Depth one click CCW from noon now, rolling back on the gain)

Put my Bottle Rocket back together. It's seen better days but still sounds good.

It is finicky and too dark. I took it apart to service and never got around to it.
The knobs barely work. It's basically all or nothing with the gain and level.
Just needs some TLC which I never got around to doing.
The tape was to mark settings in the studio.
Gotcha. I’m putting new tubes in mine today. I get quite a decent range with gain and it has tons of volume and tons of bass. It’s defintely a darker drive. I recently fixed my treble knob so now it’s a tad brighter.

Anybody use a fifth gear to boost the mbd-1. I'm thinking of adding the mbd-1 to my board. I have the FG as always on. I want to add the mbd-1 for the extra umph when needed. Or should I do mbd-1 always on then the fg?Chain is tuner>comp>fg>(mbd-1)>chorus>amp.

I did, it adds quite a bit of mids and thickens it up
I use it before. It's awesome. MBD makes everything more better.
Used the fifth gear first, but I prefer the mbd>parallel drive.
I have been pushing the MBD-1 with a hudson broadcast (which is set for the slightest bit of hair)- sounds thick and dirty but still so clear. Loving the combo at the moment.
