Dating websites : yay or nay?

Absolutely, play by your own rules. That is one of the big problems with dating sites, there is a tendency for people to put what they think everyone wants to see on their profile.
I've heard many say "wait for the women to message you" but c'mon we all know nine times out of 10 that doesn't happen...unless you mention you have a lot of money or are related to Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Channing Tatum or George Clooney or are Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Channing Tatum or George Clooney

I'm in my late 20's, but for me I prefer older women in their 30's. Generally speaking they usually seem to have their life more figured out and order - just have to get past they usually have teenage kids.

All of them.
I'm taking a relationship sabbatical. I did the long term dating/cohabitation thing all throughout my twenties with chicks that didn't have kids yet. Now that I'm in my thirties, all the available women have children. I'm thinking that when I get closer to forty, those kids will be mostly grown up or at least be at an age that they don't want to be around the house with their mom and mom's boyfriend. So right now I'm enjoying the time in between while they raise their children to do the things I want without a woman.
Yeah, I'm selfish and I suck with children, but they're not mine and It's not my fault that seemingly every chick on planet earth wants to raise kids.
On a more earnest tip: Yes, at least in my case. Met my wife on Match. Our son is three months old today. Her theory, and I think it's a good one, is that if you use a paid site like Match, chances are better that people are a little bit more serious about actually finding a partner. Tinder? Plenty of Fish? Good for a booty call, from what I've heard, but not a lot else.
That's what I have noticed as well about the different age groups. The thing about women in their 30's with kids is does allow the space between to allow you to still do the things you want to while she still raises her kid and is around her kids. Then on the flip side it allows for time when you and her and be together when her kids are not around. I generally have no problem with kids but they are not my kids and really the older they are the better because they tend to not be around as much.
On a free site you cannot expect much because anyone and their Grandma can join not to mention fill out a sometimes bogus profile. Not saying matches do not happen on free sites but yeah mostly used for hook-ups and ego boosting is what I've seen so far.
