Dean Club!!!

Looks like Dean is slowly removing the Hillsboro from their website as they reduce inventory.

Hillsboro Junior 3/4 - Metallic Red

It looks as though these are no longer being made:

Eric Bass hillsboro - Classic White
Eric Bass hillsboro - Metallic Gold
hillsboro 09 - Classic Black
hillsboro PJ - Trans Brazilia
Hillsboro Single w/Active EQ - TSB
USA hillsboro - Classic Black
USA hillsboro 5 String Single - SVB
That sucks. My Hillsboro is probably the best active bass I've ever owned - it sounds great clean and with effects, and the eq makes it sooooooo versatile. I wanna get a white Eric Bass Hillsboro at some point, and maybe a gold one...

This is a recording I had posted in another thread previously. It's my Eric Bass Signature Hillsboro into a Peavey B400h, then the second time through I kicked on a distortion pedal. Point is, I love how this bass sounds especially through this amp.
Sounds menacing!

Can anyone tell me anything about these? Are these just a different Hillsboro? Ever play one for comparison?

I don't see these on the Dean website anymore unless you do a search.

MOTTO - CLASSIC BLACK

The Dean Motto Electric Bass Guitar has impressive looks and superior electronics. The dense alder body, with extra long top horn, produces a sound full of natural midrange punch, a feature that helps this bass cut through any mix. Add a super comfortable C-shaped neck and 2 USA DMT J-Hot pickups, and you have a great-playing and versatile-sounding bass capable of providing the foundation for a wide variety of musical styles.

I am pretty sure I was looking at that exact bass on Guitar Center, I just didn't have the spare cash for it... XD
Yeah, I was watching this for a while on GC used trying to figure out what it was since you don't see PJ Hillsboro's on the net. Google one and you'll see what I mean. They had this listed as a Hillsboro 09 PJ and it isn't a Hillsboro 09 at all which is a plus for me. This thing is in awesome shape...not a nick or ding or scratch on it. Just smudges here and there. Should clean up real nice with a micro fiber cloth and guitar cleaner/polish. Sounds great. Heavy duty tuners and awesome neck. Satin finish on back of neck and thin (front to back) and narrow (across nut)...very fast neck for me anyway. The ABM Bridge is a real heavy duty beast too. Appears to be 2013 model based on serial number.

those all sound great, some just more than others. that sunburst looks really cool
Yeah, the one I bought seems to be a bit of an oddity with the ABM Bridge. Click on the picture of the bass on the Counter at the GC store I picked it up from. Very nice heavy duty full contact bridge.

My Hillsboro has an ABM bridge, too. Once you get it set it's nice, but I don't like how the saddles are blocks you have to move by hand to adjust.

Understood, since it is a signature model. The other models all appear to have Bad Ass II 'style' bridges. Mine has the ABM, but is not a signature model. That is why I am noting it. If you do a Google search for a Dean Hillsboro PJ and go to images none show up. Really weird.

I also noticed that none of the USA Hillsboro basses have the ABM bridge as well by doing the same type of Google or even Bing search.

I noticed yours has knobs with numbers. Did you do that?
