This is not an Edge model. The horns are different and the body is not offset similar to a jazz style bassis this an Edge 09, or a dlx. version of the same bass?

Here is the promised sound demo of my Dean Edge 09. I took the time to make a semi proper review, because this bass, and to be honest all dean basses, are the least demoed and reviewed basses of all time.
thx for the info, not much online to help convince me in plopping down $200, the guy is firm on the price...This is not an Edge model. The horns are different and the body is not offset similar to a jazz style bass
It is a Dean Zone XM not to be confused with a Custom Zone bass. These also came in a two pup model called a Zone II XM made exclusively for GC by Dean

Looks like the one you posted was refinished as I have only seen these in black, red and silver IIRC.
Here’s an Edge 09 for comparison

Oy vey!Went to GC to pick up my Paramount. Girl brings over a big ole box with my name on it. I asked if I could unbox everything in the store and they obliged. After opening the bigger box my eyes are greeted to a smaller Epiphone box. I thought for a second, oh maybe that's just the box they used. Then realized it was too small to be a bass. Opened it up to find a brand new Epiphone Sheraton. Pretty guitar, but obviously not a Dean P bass. If it had been shipped to my house I would have been tempted to keep the Epiphone, since it's worth almost 3x the bass, and certainly would if it were a Gibson.
So anywho they're going to overnight the Dean and hopefully the real thing arrives tomorrow.
Discontinued, but on sale brand new remaining stock for $264 at GC and affiliates like MF, WW&BW and Music123I was really interested in the Paramount when they came out. I saw them at NAMM a couple of years ago and was thinking about getting one, but none of my local dealers carried them. Then recently I found out they were discontinued. Too bad.
Yeah, I really like the necks on these and the Juggernauts.![]()
Well, she made it today!
It needed a setup badly. SN indicates it was made in 2016 and it was setup like it's been sitting in a box for that long. Gave it a good cleaning and tweaked everything to my liking, strung up with Chromes.
Wow, this thing is fantastic! Fast and smooth maple neck (with some birdseye spots on the fretboard), no dive, weight is 9.2lbs. Pick-ups are much hotter than my player P so I lowered them more than I normally do and they sound great. Overall build quality is easily as good as my MIM P, if not better. I'd put it at the same level as the Fender P Special (satin w/ honeyburst) I used to own and that was US made.
Definitely a steal at $259, I'm tempted to order another as a backup or to string with rounds.
I'll wait another week and if I still like it this much the Player P shall be returned.

Yeah, I hear you. It’s always good to try before you buyI just pulled the trigger on a G&L Tribute LB-100 this week. If one of my local shops had carried the Paramount I would have considered it.
Nice!My Dean Cabbie, now with a pair of blackface Filtertrons installed. The tone control no longer changes anything, but I'm happy with the sound for now. Thank heavens for the old trick of tying long strings of monofilament around the pot shafts to allow them to be removed and pulled back into place. The pickups were a perfect fit, no Dremeling required in the openings - all that was required was adding two small holes for the surround screws on each pickup. Two of the four screw holes were usable on each pickup.
