My PJ has the Glock pre and while it is a very nice pre, I rarely turn it on.

I had a super pj with the Aguilar and I ran it passive, after I got over the novelty of the pre amp.

The Super P is passive, and I love what it does.

If I was ordering I’d go passive.

I haven't looked at a Dingwall price/option list lately, but I've never heard of the Super P being available with anything other than passive electronics.

Very early models had a rechargeable pre option. I don't know if many were made.

I have an older Combustion with the old style pickups. I'm wondering if any of you have tried the FD3 P/J and the FD3N pickups and could describe the difference in sound versus the stock pickups?

I also have an older ABII. I replaced the stock pickups with Nordstrand Big Splits and the tone is awesome. I wonder if I should try to transplant the old AB pickups into the Combustion...

I replaced my v1 Combustion pickups to the PJ FD3's. The pickups that came with them had low output and the new ones have more output, bite and just punch more.

Yep. I think 2016 was the last year. Not sure. Time seems a blur this eve.

How much would it cost, roughly to do this? I don’t see the P pickups and the pickguards on the Dingwall site.

Odds are “good” it’s routed.

You’d have to talk to a dealer or Dingwall for that stuff is my guess.

Okay, getting confirmation on the routing. If it isn’t routed, I will pass on the bass. In general, I typically don’t like maple fretboards and this bass has a maple fretboard.

I am not 100% sold but I would like a 4 string option that is different tonally from my AB2 6er.

I’ve been trying to hunt down clips of the magick fuzz and all I can find is guitar demos. I see you’ve got one. How would you describe it compared to some other fuzzes. Thinking about getting on. Toss up between that or a TFR. Only have room for one. Just curious because I haven’t seen anyone else around here that uses that fuzz.

Current set up. EQD and 3leaf are in the IE loop. Octave and drives before, phaser then comp then hipass. I use the comp to tamp down any transients, that's why it's at the end. Still would love to have an alpha omega or a b7k or something of the like to replace the agro and B3K but they do the job for now
