I've never played with one, but I've heard it once or twice. Apparently with the way a few of us in the band are going these days, we're going to have to start an experimental dub-noize side project.

Low light photo of current setup from stage last night. Although I'm pondering doing a bad bad thing. I may order a Red Panda Particle today. Considering removing the loop (for the volume on the V/Exp pedal) because I'm pretty happy with the Slow Engine. Then it's a matter of moving some stuff around, especially if I'm dropping the OC-2 on it as well. Kinda want to keep the analog delay on board too. I may end up velcro'ing the IEM pack on the side of the board and I may move the HPF under the board.

You can gain some more room by switching to EBS flat cables. They’re the lowest profile patch cables you’re gonna find.

The particle is a pretty crazy pedal. Really fun to play with but I didn’t find it too useful in a band context. I wish I did, because it’s badass haha. I did a demo with it a few years ago to show some of the sounds:

Sounds pretty fun! FWIW, you can also get pretty much all of those sounds out of an Eventide H9 (which also does a bunch of other stuff, of course).

It really was a fun pedal but I couldn’t justify putting it on my board. I have been pondering the H9 for a long time. I like to think I could replace multiple modulation pedals with it and kind of downsize my board without losing any sounds.

Pretty much everything that the H9 does, it does well. It is a super versatile pedal. I often wish it could do more than one effect at a time, but if it did, my guess is that it wouldn't do them as well.

That’s the main reason I haven’t jumped on it. Sometimes I like to use my delay, reverb, and chorus all at once. I’d have a hard time giving that up

I meant to post on Facebook today, but goddamn this demo is awesome.

Always been a big fan of Thrice and the Vheissu/Alchemy Index eras. Some really great songwriting and tones.
