I don’t really have handy any proper “full length” photos, I only seem to have good shots of basses I’ve sold...I guess that makes sense.
Question:
On an AB3X with S/P switches, which is considered the standard wiring? I.e. on an AB3X without the switches, are the pickups (individually for the coils, not to the other pickups) wired in series or parallel?

Ok, today is finally NDD for me! Placed the order back in April 2017 and today my new Combustion 5 3X is finally out for delivery! White/Maple/Black guard but I have a few ideas in mind for slight cosmetic changes. I mostly play in bands where traditional "looking" instruments fit in best so I'm going to do a few things to nudge it in that direction but not anything that will drastically change the beautiful stock design. I will try to post pics later tonight or tomorrow, depending on if I can put it down long enough!

Thanks! Yeah, I think they're rolling out quicker now but the timing of when I placed my order caught a couple of those building/shipping delays that they have since corrected. I think adding on the factory installed 3X conversion at the end tacked on a little time as well.

D Bird owners with BEAD tuning (all 3 of you ) - what strings are you running? I've currently got DR Hi Beams on mine in EADG, and I'm pretty happy with the sound. I'm thinking of going with those, but I figured I'd at least ask.

Pretty sure @rulefuzz said he put LaBella extra longs on mine. He can confirm. I haven't changed them yet. Have barely played the bass so far. Too little time! But when I do get around to changing them, I was thinking I'd put factory nickels on there. They don't sell a BEAD set, so you have to buy a 5-string set. I might also be inclined to try Payson Medium Lights, since they sound killer on my AB2HS.D Bird owners with BEAD tuning (all 3 of you

Howdy folks. Just want to get some opinions on the look of this truss rod on a used Combustion I picked up a while back. I don't have the specific allen key for it but does it look like it's messed up to you guys? It's hard to get a good pic of it in detail but it looks like someone took a drill to it or something.
