It sounded so full in the mix and even up and down the neck. I can tell this is the start of something really great, I'm super excited about this bass.

I used what I'm calling the "superP" setting which is position 2 on the 6 position rotary. It's the neck and middle pickup together in series with the neck coil switch in series and the middle coil switch in parallel. I dialed l back the passive tone about 40%, preamp was on with a small bass boost and mid/treble just above the center detent. It's a really thick but detailed sound, not overbearing and still has a bit of the P bass mid grind to help give it definition in the mix.

You guys, we were up doing a festival in Maine on Sunday and I think I've found the new 'low' for stage wear...I guess y'all don't have to feel bad about your cargoes anymore.

Yeah, this one was a gamble for us. Newer festival, up a good distance in Maine, but it had a good line up and some decent word of mouth. Unfortunately, we were booked Friday & Saturday already so ended up in a Sunday afternoon slot, so not a great setup. Also the 16 hour round trip is kind of a bummer. We usually route better than that, but sometimes things end up being wonky.

Some really nice people. but also some really messed up festies.

Anyone who's in the mid-Atlantic-south-ish area, we're hitting Roanoke VA on Friday then doing Asheville NC Saturday and Sierra Nevada Brewery (NC) on Sunday this week. I will not be playing in underwear but will be playing my NG3-Jule Amps-fEarful setup.

There were some people there who were just effed, but then we're not new to the festival scene and we knew that going in on a Sunday afternoon, 4 days in, things might be a bit rough. The professional stage/sound engineers were on point though, quick and professional. Although, I could tell that none of our tech rider had ever made it to anyone involved in tech, though we did send it several times.

Hah. By Sunday you get to see who has truly done themselves permanent damage from the weekend and who truly has no shame.

This one was a gamble for us. It was probably a net financial loss and not much of a gain in terms of our expansion/exposure. I'd call it a draw. ; )

But sometimes you don't know and we don't ride our balance sheet on single gigs but across weeks or months. So, yeah...

I have the LaBella Drop Tune set and they work great tuned in C on my Spector. For my Dbird, I have a custom Kalium set based on the spec sheet sent to me by Dingwall for Kalium. If you want a copy, I can pm you.
