I have a quick question, will DR Sunbeam long scales fit my SPJ5 (E-G strings)?
Yep.

HA HA, me too! Sometimes a bit sooner, but not usually. I do consistently wipe down my bass/strings if I am sweating.
I used to boil my strings but always found they were good for only one night after that. I consider the alcohol thing to be just too much trouble. If I need new strings I will put new strings on; no alcohol, no tube, no mess, not another thing to have to keep up with - simple.
You already have! You joined the club the moment you adopted your Dingwall!Wondering if I can join the club.Just brought her home this weekend

Of all the NG colors, my favorites, in spite of all the flashy colors, is the Ducati white and the black with metal flake. There's something really tasteful about the white finish on the NG's, isn't there.
Congratulations!
I heard you couldn’t easily swap the Aguilar pre with a Glock pre. Something about the pot shaft sizes being diffferent. So I never tried. I just use the Aggie pre very sparingly. Lol
Hopefully it will work fine, otherwise I have trown my money away. Do you have a three band eq?
Just in case you weren’t aware there is a stackable 3 band glockenklang that can replace a 2 band. The only thing is you lose the passive tone control.
I was wondering about this myself. Would it be the same with the standard NG pickups? I'm wanting to do this mod to my NG-3.Would any of you good gents have a wiring diagram/schematic on the individual series/parallel toggles for a 3X with FDVs?
Did think about that, but I wouldnt be suprised if I go passive with it.
The mid control on the glockenklang IMO is very useful and well worth having.
I have two ABIs with the 3 band Glock, and I had an ABZ with one prior to that. IMHO, I would go with the 3 band glock and not worry about the passive roll-off. The Glock is so transparent when having the pre amp engaged and at the center detents of all three bands that it is virtually identical in tone and volume to passive mode. So in other words, the glock gives you virtually identical tone when flat as passive tone when flat. And the three bands are so musical and the adjustments of the knobs is so gradual that they are eminently usable over their entire range.Hopefully it will work fine, otherwise I have trown my money away. Do we know what hz the mid is set to?Totally agree!! It is for the most part the only one of the bands I use. And even then, pretty rarely.
