Thanks, but I have already watched these months ago and they do not answer my question. They are great and informative and by using them I was able to get my Combustion set up perfectly. But they don't address the truss rod and action issues that the AB has.

I was afraid of that. Oh, well - I guess it's off to my favorite tech.

Try adding another 1/8 turn to the truss rod. It sounds like it's getting tight. Not a big deal, just make sure your wrench is in good shape and fully engaged. You can also loosen the strings to slack so the truss rod doesn't have as much tension working against it while you're adjusting.

As a last resort, your tech can order a full-contact tapered neck shim from us. They are CNC machined and laser cut. Very precise.

Edit: I just saw your photo with the rule measuring relief. That's too much. It's not likely the rod is maxed out but it may feel very tight. Have a tech take a look.

Yes, for me, nothing replaces a good tech. I have a couple I rely on heavily.

I had a guy I was using, but I recently realized he's not all that. Trying someone new; if my current project goes well, will take her the AB next.

Well Jeff at Dingwall is was nice or devilish depending on how you look at it. He sent me some teaser pics this aft.

@Charlzm said above the first image is "B string height at the 7th fret with capos on both ends of the neck". He has 2mm of relief with the truss maxed out.
The truss rod is way out of whack and has no adjustment left, needs looking at by a pro.

Thanks for the reply! When I changed strings and set the action back in November/December, the truss rod was so tight I was worried that I might break something if I tried to turn it any more. Today, I experimentally gave it a try and got an eighth of a turn without much problem. Letting it sit for a few hours before I start the setup procedure again.

Ive seen that one. Personally I have a tough time with the yellow. In person it could sway me I’m sure. Heck. I had it on an NG but I’m not a solid colors guy.

I do think that bass could be built for close to that price by the time it’s all said and done..... of course there is that roller coaster of a wait time involved.

If my math comes out right in CAD that bass new in 2018 woulda been $4000
