I still kick myself for not jumping on that.
I had literally just picked up a Z3 in white a day or so before you listed it otherwise it would’ve been perfect for me.

Curious how your humidity is. If it’s change much with winter and perhaps you could try to reverse the effects with some humidity. Even slightly.

Back pickup is not working. I just sent the bass back to Mo. So it will be awhile before I can get a sound clip up.

I am very happy to own it. After picking up this bass, I don't know why anyone would want a bass without the 3X pickup and series/parallel switches! The versatility is just insane, especially with the P-Tone in the neck position. Occasionally I look at it and go, "This is too much bass for me..." and then I quickly come to my senses! :D

Very glad to hear you are still enjoying it Tony!

I too view the 3X system as a must have for any Dingwall I own: you're leaving out so many tonal possibilities by forgoing it.

Same could be said for a P bass I suppose.

A point of curiosity regarding the blocks/speedo bars/plain fretboard, do you all feel there is an inherent advantage to either? For me, I only use the blocks when I'm learning a song (most likely seated where I can see them). Once I know it, and playing while standing, I don't look at them, and can't see them much if I do, that's what the side dots are for, right? Just curious.

For me - I mainly use the side dots. I agree that treble side dots on the fretboard are not really as usable. I dislike blocks, but the speedo bars have a cool look. I agree these or center dots could make things easier for you, but I have found the side dots to be mostly sufficient.
