The real trick is that they don't make fretless Combustions.

On Canadian models...it's a different story. Sheldon used to only make lined fretless but that's changes and now he'll do both unlined and an inlaid version that is not a full line but partial markings.

That is a twin to mine. It was a great bass. I had a fretless neck made for it - and that was amazing! Then I traded it to get my long scale fretless cocobolo ab-ll back. I get it!

Yes I can relate also. Sold my beautiful custom exotic SJ5 because when it came time for the gig, I almost always grabbed my long-scale Dingwall, which, at the time, was a Z3.

I’m gonna guess perhaps you’ve got import costs added to a price list estimate by the dealer?

Hmm, I'm not sure. The list price already includes 20% VAT (Germany is actually 19%). Unless there are other import costs

I believe there is also an import fee (from the dealer - one quote I got had that added).
