Yup it’s good advice. Good plan Will. I’ve been working on lower my iron here as i approach 40.
Not to drail a bass thread - but seeing as we are discussing health so that we CAN play Sheldon's basses longer - get bloodwork done twice a year - they can check prostate issues thru blood now - but also get your hormones checked (Testosterone/esterol)...not to go into detail, but i was having some health issues and did a complete lube/oil/filter. Found some concerning issues that im now correcting with supplements/vitamins etc.. I also got this "drink water" app - it drives me CRAZY because the alarm goes off when you should be drinking water - so that goes to show ya, i drank a small fraction of the water i should be drinking.
Stay healthy guys - its a pin prick - man up and look after yourself!! PLUS - ya never know, it could be a cute nurse who takes the blood

Lol. Indeed. Where it started for me was my first annual physical in about 20 years. I’ve been to the doc more times in the last 2 years then the rest of my life but as age creeps on us it is important to be proactive if we want to keep being Dingwalls players into our latter years. And yes.... I’ve been shock by the sheer quantity of lovely ladies that populate the hospital grounds. It’s like high school all over again.... except for old (happily married) people.
That app sounds like a good thing aside from the constant nagging.
Makes one grateful for the Canadian healthcare system that we can "afford" to get checkups regularly to prevent and treat disease early. Not the case for many of our American brothers.

Above and below x fret. This still messes with my head. If you are above the 7th fret are you higher vertically (which is actually a lower note) or higher musically which is actually physically lower?

I SO agree. I think the low B intense sound clarity is the prime reason many try a Dingwall bass, but the 4’s are stunning!

Hey guys, just a heads-up. If you live within road trip distance of Springfield, Mo. you may be interested in the Four State Guitar Show June 22nd. It will be a fairly large show this year. It's that time of the year... I didn't play the SJ5 before I took it to practice tonight. Discovered that the G string was 'choked' from to little relief (the neck was nearly flat) and too close to the pickup. Gave it a quarter turn when I got home - it'll be singin' tomorrow.

Necks will flatten out when the fingerboard becomes more moist due to absorbing additional humidity. It's that time of year. Keeping a fingerboard well-oiled (if it is a unfinished softwood) is your best insurance.
Would this still be better quality/value than a new NG or Combustion (that’s around the same price?
I like the Canadian models better. Pickup wise, obviously there is a difference, but that is more subjective on the tones you're looking for. Me, I'd go with the Canadian build.
