The "I'll need the string spacing over each pickup, since Dingwall pickups are typically built wider than their bridge spacing, due to the fanned fret. Center-to-center from E to G." part of my original message was a direct copy and paste from the email I received from Nordstrand. So it would seem they are unsure and not under control. They are familiar with 5 string sets but not 4.

Bridge spacing is 19 but that’s not what your looking for
Yes, the long-scale four-string bridges have 19mm spacing. When I measured my Supers for NP-4a pickups, the spacing from the center of one string to the next is 20.5mm (and still is

It's small... but it's also the first "real" amp I've owned in over 5 years. I've been entrenched in Fractal/modeling land up until this point. I wanted something "small" and that I could just flip on and play, without dancing around presets etc. Dingwalls, M/B D-800+, 210AV... done.
Installing Nordstrand pu’s in your fanned Bass:
If your fanned bass has 18mm spacing, you’ll need 19mm lefty spacing, optimally.
If your fanned bass has 19mm spacing, you’ll need 20mm lefty spacing, optimally.
17mm spacing? You’ll need 18mm lefty spacing.

Just a small question; does the Dingwall Super J sport a slightly downsized body in the vein of say, Sadowsky, or is it the usual Jazz Bass slab?

I have an 800+ for my practice/backup amp. Quite nice. Manufacturers should have begun including adjustable HPF's long ago...
I could never quite get the sound I wanted from my D800+ with any of my Dingwalls, but I suspect it was more to do with the Barefaced 212 Cab I was using at the time. Then the amp failed on the road, thankfully the excellent warranty covered it so it got repaired, but I quickly moved it on as the trust in it was gone.
What is your current cab & amp of choice? Just curious
was thinking about a D800+ (to pair with berg AE 2/410s & z2/3s)
Agreed. I'd be happy to have a built in one on my Tone Hammer, even it just worked on DI signal.

I switched to Barefaced 10s as they sound right to me, so I have a 410 & a 210. They aren’t nearly as light as the 12s though and I likely could have got the sound I wanted with a bunch of EQ fiddling or just throw a cab sim at it.
For an amp I’m running an old GK 800rb but I mostly just use my HX Stomp into the effects return.
I’m by no means the average Dingwall player, I mostly play punk rock and indie stuff so the sounds I’m looking for are nothing like what most are seeking I expect.
The D800 works for most, it’s well made, has excellent support here and great warranty. I just got a bad one and to my ears didn’t suit my cab at the time. I much prefer the GK, they just do what I’m looking for with minimal fiddling.
