Dingwall Owners Club

You’re probably right. We have this coffee extract at the bakery that is exactly what I’m imagining. Super dark but when you see it in certain light is when you can see how it’s really deeply brown. I’ve also actually dreamt about the bass being gloss black, so that’s also an option, but it has to be a really nice gloss black, something with some depth(?) in other words, not your bog standard MIM Fender gloss black that looks cheap.

Yes, of course, about the pictures. Dingwall Dingus, I have a beautiful 3.5 month old Whalepools Blue 4 string Combustion. I just got the Wampler today. I didn't need it, just had 'GAS" as they say. I read all the reports Scubaduba wrote on here and decided to give the Wampler a go. I do like the 'color' it adds to my Dingwall and I like the blend knob. I'm a set and forget person, so once I find my favorite knob positions, it will be that way in 10 years from now, unless the little 3 year old GF's granddaughter has at it, but I have pictures to tell me where they were. The MXR here is what it was when I took it out of service today. The Wampler is what I'd like to leave it at. Like I mentioned, I do play with the pick 100% and I do hear ya about pick percussiveness, but now using the Wampler, I notice the distinct 'snap'/'pop' vs the MXR where I never noticed that (maybe it was there but not like the Wampler). What do you think about the settings here?

I’m not familiar with that comp but like mentioned perhaps turning your attack down is where to start. Maybe turn it back to where you have it set on the MXR and bring it back up from that point as high as you can/want before getting to that popping point.

Ovnilab.com has some great info about a great many compressors. Maybe there is something there too

House of Kolor Root Beer Kandy: this is close to what I'm talking about, so thanks to @gpx1200 for the insight.

Basically, it's like the espresso/coffee/generic cola brown version of the dark candy colors the shop has been doing lately, like Bill's new green Super P.

Right up my alley! Great car, great colour.

I have a friend who makes beautiful acoustic guitars, one of his favourite finishes is black French polish... sounded easy enough to do, but the hours and hours and hours turning into days and days and daze spent doing it... I know, I watched him.

Well, lads...the nervous waiting can begin. I just pulled the trigger on ordering a blue/purple D-Roc standard.

I’m really strongly considering following that up with a deposit on an NG-3 six-string in Ferrari Green, but one thing at a time.

I have a 5 string D-roc Standard in blue/purple due in March. Can't wait.

Shipped already, and due to arrive Thursday the 6th.

My Mopar NG-3 6 string arrives the 4th, can’t wait. I though about the Ferrari, but purple is my fav color and I have a Schecter 8 string guitar that will sit good next to it.

Purple was my all time fav, but I let this one go in trade for my sonic fav Z2. But man, it sure was a stunner!

I really like the Mopar purple, too, and I was going back and forth on it until I realized the NG series have matching headstocks. Once I looked at full pictures, I found that I think the Ferrari Green body and headstock framing the maple board looks better to me, and I love a good green.

I know a top notch dealer expecting a Ferarri Green 6'er in May. Shorten your wait!! (Nothing like peer pressure)

I had a couple back and forth emails with the dealer this morning (early this morning, it was almost 3 am local when I ordered, and within minutes he emailed back, 6 am for him) and mentioned that I may want a FG 6-string, and he is expecting one in May. I’ll be deciding very soon whether to put a deposit down.

Are we talking JFB? He’s a stand up guy and great seller if so
