I'm looking to get it setup in D standard, but I'm not sure what string tension I should get.

Per that chart, I should use a .112, .082, .063 and .047 as my gauges.
However, I cannot find a .112 gauge on kalium's website. I found a set claiming to be a balanced 4 string set with a .114 for the lowest string, but all of the other string gauges vary from the dingwall chart, with it being .114, .090, .067 and 0.51 as the gauges. Would I be best to try to recreate the chart from the dingwall site with a .114 in place of the .112, as they have all of the other gauges available as singles? Or would going with the balanced set from kalium be a better call?

It didn’t take much peer pressure, and most of that was me pressuring myself.

D-Roc standard is en route! Should be here tuesday, I can't wait! I will be tuning ADGC, does anyone have advice on strings? I live in Europe so Kalium is out of the equation. I found GHS Heavy (70-140). They are affordable, the gauge is ok but the winding length might be a little short. I's stated to be 37.25, while the D-Roc low string is 36.25 but I don't know if the winding length is calculated from ball end or past the wrapped part.
So after playing with the tone capsule for a few hours I've really come to like it. I don't usually find a use for cut controls but the 500 hz control is actually awesome to remove that "boxxy" frequency or whatever you want to call it. The hi mid control is cool for some sizzle without it being too hi fi/steel string 10k feeling.
This setup is kind of making me regret not just getting an NG-2 to begin with haha, also these Nordstrand FD3s sound ever so slightly higher quality and louder but of course very similar to the FD3n

Yeah same exact same pickup as spiritbass mentioned. This was the reason I had to get Nordstrand FD3s instead of direct from Dingwall as I was told at the time they had no more square shell FD3s. Mine were dinged up pretty bad from years of abuse.
Anyone knows what standard string gauge the NG3 is delivered with? Is it 45–55-80-100-130 or 45-65-85 105-130?

I popped out in 1970 also, so here is one of my Dingwalls as well.... bought after several phone calls, emails, text messages from one of the best people formerly on TB, Mr. John Fox Bass himself. He even compared different Berg cabs for us to hear, and when I asked him how they compared to the F112, he made another video just for me, which he later posted on YouTube.

I recommend that you do not attempt to string you bass with "standard" gauge strings. Look for Multi-scale specific strings.
