Once upon a time I would have agreed.
The protection of the new ones though makes them the clear winners these days. they are superior in every way. (The last 2 on the right)
Understood. TBH my AB1 lives in a Mono and I haven't bought a Dingwall since that one so I haven't tried the newer bags. But that one beats the heck out of any of the other non-Mono bags I've ever had.
If I’m taking 2 basses somewhere I use my mono double bag otherwise one of the newer bags is what I use. Or the Levy’s one with the rain cover built on but I don’t like how tall that one sits on the shoulder. It means ducking through doorways.

I'd never considered gig bag evolution @ Dingwall. I have three of the type beneath your beautiful Super J and expecting one of the current bags next month with a cool new bass inside...It was just one of those things… pulled em all out of the closet and figured might as well. 1 of them will be getting packed up and leaving in the next few days I think.Congratulations on introducing a new theme.

The FDV's are definitely different from the FD3N that came with the NG bass. I will have to play with my amp's eq a little but so far so good. I know the active electronics were added later on, I don't think there is a b+m setting. I did the tap test and there's no noise from the rear pup in what would be b+m. Nothing happens at the series/parallel switch either. However, the middle pickup is available.. that's a killer tone! From what I can tell it's wired n/n+b parallel/m/b. I'll have to get in there and look to be sure.

You guys with FDV's - regarding pickup height, what kind of difference do you have treble vs bass side? With the Nolly and the FD3N, I started at 1/8" on treble side and the bass side ended up around 6/32" or a little more. If I replicate that with the FDV's, there is no bass, lol. I know there is less output in general, but I found it much more balanced with the bass side closer to 5/32" or even a little lower. Is this common for those pickups?

Very cool writing style. I can hear Lamb of God and Tool primarily. a bit of COC and Radio head mixed in there amongst other things.
I’d have to guess you pull influence from the Omnific. You’ve got some great riffage that is very reminiscent of them when you get to slapping and such.
in honesty, I struggled with the vocals…. BUT, I like your vocalist Writing style. I feel like the creativity is in the right place just the delivery is off. I could hear more Randy Blithe when appropriate and Maynard James Keenan in contrast elsewhere.
I feel much of the vocals need a more snarly/gritty aggression and just more emotion throughout. He’s got the idea just needs to embrace the delivery. More passion or textured dynamic maybe(?)
I think your vocalist can get there and when he does it’s gonna be very cool. That’s just what my ears wanted when listening and meant only with constructive intent.
All in all, I’d love to listen to this album again with new vocal tracks and improved mastering. Get that bass to shine through a bit more!it’s deadly playing and writing!

No problem. Timing was great. I had a 4 hr drive in front of me and gave the album a couple listens.
I liked the usage of the acoustic in there too! I’m a sucker for that mixed in with metal. Allegaeon Does it with taste as well.
Yes, those two on the right are the Levy's model gig bag I had for my first bag that I used many years before the bags with the hard panels came out. They were great slim and light weight bags with plenty of padding, provided you were not throwing it in with all the other equipment. That bag came on the bus and bike on a daily basis and did really well. I also have a Dingwall branded one.
