While I certainly also appreciate the solid-color Dingwalls, I would disagree that they are the only way to go on an AB1. :D

A beauty!

that kind of burst works well given that the back/side is also blue. The ones that i prefer less are the ones with a traditional burst, and different colour back/side. So the cutout then stand s out as being quite visually different. In those designs/finishes i think the z is the better platform.

like the blue fronts and white back/side… or black fronts with white back/side… incredible as a z… would not do it with an ab1.

i actually now have the ULTIMATE plan. I legit think it would work.

basically copy davie 504’s dead pan humour. The idea would be to act like the best bassist in the world. Do clickbate titals and images like “you wont believe what the worlds best bassist just played!” Then have a video of me doing 15 second riffs of finger/pick/tap/slap really really fast… but just be pure garbage. Always be deadpan serious that i am the best on the world. “Click like and subscribe if you wish to become EPIC like me.” Test different pedals and always sound the same. Give advice q+a’s on how to get better… “you want a very bright colour bass with as many strings as possible… even if you dont play them all. Always remind people how much you paid for it.” Do reviews and say i am being paid to say only good things… then say the product is so good that it will cure cancer and such.

do reaction videos to myself playing… and praise myself for my skills. “This guys technique is so good. Probably the best i have ever heard.” “He also looks pretty sexy.”


Offer custom tabs of my riffs to patreons. Have the tans be mosty random garbage.

Do a video battle/duet with other youtubers and just be terrible. Then at the end let it be known that i was the clear winner.

Lotsa work but it would probably end up performing well, hah. Roll it on the social media platforms as tik tok etc as well!

That’s an opinion! ;)

I’ll firmly disagree with it but life would be boring if we all had the same one so I’m happy you have yours

GHS Pressurewound + AB2 time. Sorry about the FB link, its the only place I found the video. This was from this past Saturday (6/25) with the new GHS Pressurewounds. For me they are great! Nice mix between the flats and rounds. I love flats, but these give me just a little more polish to the notes without being roundwound-clanky. This is my first experience with pressurewounds, I have no idea how long of playing life they will have. More gigs this week and next though..

EDIT: little blurry... clearer on FB. Sounds good though..
