Preamp on a Dingwall do people prefer the Darkglass or the Glock?

I have a Glock on my ABI and a DGTC on my NG-3. Both are fantastic preamps and killer basses. If I were to order a Z (don't tell my wife), I think I would probably go with the Glock. IMO, it's more subtle and let's the natural voicing of the bass come out. That said, I also have a Spector with the DGTC. I love how it works with a Jazz style bass.

Not that I know of. I just ordered Dunlop Strap Locks for my NG-3. It was an easy install and works great.

Cool thanks. I'm just getting an order ready, so I'll make sure to include the straplocks. I'm also thinking of getting a set of knobs from Jason at Fretnation, but they seem to have 2 sizes, I'll have to wait until I get the bass and measure the shafts

NBD will have to wait.. Reverb/Seller/UPS added Signature Required to my bass now it is off for another day of driving around... Pic's tomorrow when it will finally arrive..
On a separate note (*Puns) D'Addario says that the Super Long set of the XL's will work on a 38" scale bass.. So I still have my fingers crossed

Yeah, that's what I am doing. I already have a flush mount one (I only install flush mount on the bridge end) and I might order another one to do the flush mount one on the back of the body thing.

I have a Z3 5 string with the DGTC. I have had a few AB2s with a Glock. I like the Glock, I would want one on a 6 string AB2 because that could be the counterpoint to my 5 string beast.
I really, really like the DGTC on and set flat. It does a little something to the EQ just by being engaged. What’s funny is I thought let me go passive if I want to tame the beast but my bass growls crazy when it’s passive too.
That leads me to the next part of the equation - the pickups. My Z3 has SF2s and I love those pickups in this bass. I haven’t had a bass with SF2s in the past and they are a treat.
In the past, I felt like my Dingwall’s were too polite. This Z3 has the quick attack and growl that I have been wanting.

Hello collective hive minds. NBD for me, but there is an issue with the electronics. I have a 2010 Combustion. V/V/T/B EMG BT preamp. Each individual volume/pickup works fine. However both pickups do not work at the same time. Anyone have any suggestions?

Sit them down, and explain in clear terms that if they won’t play nice with each other, there are lots of Nordstrands that are ready to audition for the gig.

Have you confirmed the voltage in the battery?

what is it doing when you have both fully engaged?

have you talked with the seller about any previous issues?

Seller is clueless. Battery brand new (My battery) Both volume up, neck pup works-bridge pup off, neck pup volume down Bridge pup volume up-Bridge pup works, bridge pup volume down Neck pup volume up-neck pup works

Is there any kind of a low noise popping sound? Does it clip out or fade?

are you certain that the bridge pick up is off? Can you two them and confirm this?

are the pick up heights respectable to each other?
