Dingwall Owners Club

Congratulations on your new SEXY AB II , The Crusader. Your membership number (#58) is awaiting for you as soon as you receive it ;)

ATTENTION: I will be away for a week from Sunday night (26th July) till next Sunday very early in the morning (2nd August). I will take a trusted Dingwall with me and post pics once I get back (not aware if I will have internet access at the remote area I will be). So may I please ask fellow Dingwaholic BurningSkies (membership #19) to safeguard this thread until I return?

If BurningSkies cannot make it, Smallmouth_Bass (#11) if offered the place. If Smallmouth_Bass cannot make it, please feel free apply for the position ;)

PS Please, BurningSkies and Smallmouth_Bass, let me know within the next 24hrs if you can fill in for me (a different kind of "Sub-ing" ;))

Thank you very much BurningSkies.

In fact, you can bribe me to keep this position forever by just sending me the Rastaburst, on a long term loan :p :hiding:

I would send you over the whole Dingwall family from here, but they are very spoiled and they would only give you trouble :p:p:p

Just an FYI to all the Dingwa-holics here. Mesa Walkabouts and Afterburners are one of those combos that just sing together. I was ready to let my ABI go until I heard it through this head. Apparently the Markbass LMII was holdin' out on me.

My weapons of choice (apart from a Dingwall) are AER Amp One (very compact, very light, great tone), MarkBass CMD 102P (great open tone, great mids in general and great highs too, light combo) and rig of doom iAmp800, Goliath III & tweeter, EBS 615 (exquisite tone reproduction and projection, can be LOUD if needed/desired, but not as light as the rest)

Glad to hear that this combo is working out for you, Joe! And that is a killer photo of you playing the ABI.

walnut neck, wenge board
walnut body, quilt maple top

That must be one growly ABII!! My ABII-5 has a walnut body, bubinga neck, and wenge board. It's growly and very punchy, I usually play in parallel mode, bass boosted 50%, treble boosted 35-40%, active EQ on, BluEQube engaged, and I use Dingwall Voodoo strings. Every live mix I've listened to of my playing with our church worship band, the ABII-5 is very present in the mix.

Here are some pictures of my new AB II-5.
Lovin it! Does that make me #57 in the Dingwall list?:hyper:
