First of all I need to thank BurningSkies for his help and for the great work he did. Thank you
I was away on a week's long seminar related to guitar playing and just got back some hours ago. I can still play my 6str thing (the treble one you know
), but if I want to learn how to play WITH the guys at that level, I need to understand how THEY think and how THEY view things. I do not always need to be in unison with the guitars when they play an Indian melodic pattern for example, but I need to understand how their pattern fits in the rhythm (which may not be Indian at all, by the way). It was a very intensive course but very mind opening. Too much work and still trying to digest all the info we've been handed.
I had my Z3 with me (which caused a stir
) both looks-wise as well as tone and ease of playing it (we know this, don't we? ). Did not use it as much as I wanted too, but next year I will have no treble in my hand (g****r I mean), just a Dingwall. 
. There were some luthier guys there as well (not building instruments, but necks really) and they really loved the Dingwall too

A single cutaway Z3 would be the ultimate compliment to my Prima 5 prototype. I had better start selling plasma now!

Yeah, it's come up a few times in group conversation on the Dingwall message board, I don't know if its beyond rough ideas at this point, but I know it has been tossed around a bit.
How many other people do this?
My collections up to 2436, no joke! There are a few repeats in there, but not many.
Let me tell you, it's not good for GAS.

Hahaha, I can't blame you for forgetting me. You've made so many mockups for so many people in that thread!!! Way too cool. I'm stil drooling over the one you made me!!
I can finally qualify for membership 
My first impression was that it was perfectly set-up and in tune. It was bought in Texas this spring then shipped to California. It was later brought from there to Canada where it sat in it's case for a few months before arriving to Serbia.
The second impression was the balance. Unlike anything I've played, it just stands in position.
Than the notorious fanned frets. They took no adjustment and I even didn't have absolutely no intonation problems. And I've never played fanned frets before. It's been said so many times, why can't the people realize that and relax about them
The sound: acoustically, it sounds like put through a mild chorus and I love playing it unplugged. It can sing like a fretless, but it's not limited to doing that. I don't think I'll have any doubts or trouble retiring my other basses, both fretless and fretted.
My report is long enough, so back to playing
