I know that this is heresy, but I wonder if the Darkglass will be available as a retrofit for ABZ's?

I was wondering how the Darkglass pre compares to the Darkglass pedals. For instance, I have a Darkglass B3K mirotubes box. Very cool pedal, with a wide range of useful sounds. No bottom loss. The B7K has all this plus the four band eq.

As it relates to Steve's question, is there a Darkglass pedal that approximates the on board pre featured in the NG-2's? Rather than a retro fit, what pedal would you buy?

The NG-2's look great, I love the colors.

The preamps will be available outside of the NG-2 in ~6 weeks according to the email I got from Hugo today...both he and Doug are VERY excited about how it sounds!

In other news, unless you inspect really closely, the Rastburst looks brand new.

When I get home from this tour, I'll try to remember to snap pictures...this tour is all upright. Brought my 1982 Gibson G3 as a backup. It's heavily 'relic'c'

Stacked knobs work, but they generally have a thicker shaft that may require the mounting hole to be enlarged slightly.

Aguilar has a lot of really good diagrams on their website showing different control configurations; I'm sure that you can make it work.

I installed a 3-band Bartolini NTMB in my first Afterburner (what's referred to now as an AB I).
That bass only had 3 pots, so how I did it was to omit the volume knob; I had pickup selector, mids, stacked bass/treble.

On an AB1.5, you would have 4 pots, so you could add back the volume pot, unstack the bass/treble, skip the bass EQ...

Dude, that entire first line is pretty giggle worthy! Of course, I am 56 year old little boy, so what can I say??!!

Residing in Melbourne, Australia, I've played bass for yolks. Currently playing a 1990 Warwick Thumb NT4 and a 1992 Sandberg Classic S2 NT5 through an EBS1v2 preamp, Yamaha P3500S power amp, and 2 4x10 EBS cabs with Eminence BassLites.

I just (and I mean just - don't even have a production number yet) ordered a Z2 with standard book-matched ash top in Stormy Monday, ziricote fretboard (looks fantastic) without face dots or "D" on it, Luminlay side neck dots, and Hipshot extender.

Very excited about it, not sure how I'll cope with the wait. I'm sure some of you have stories to tell about that.

I had gotten the two week count down from Barry about a month ago before he realized an error had been made due to the changes to the order; I originally spec'd out an ash/maple Super PJ, but after procuring one used I changed the order entirely to an ash/wenge 3X Super J.

It's still two or three weeks out, but the ABZ5 I just picked up from the classifieds that's arriving tomorrow should help

What I was referring to was your first sentence - considering I'm not even 1 week in, and you're talking about the last few weeks.

And I have no doubt that the wait will be worth it.

In the meantime I picked up a Warrior Dran Michael 5er on impulse. Not fond of its thin neck so I will be selling. Just thought I'd give it a try.

My suggestion is to avoid the classifieds while awaiting your Dingwall
