Just heard that my v4 Combustion is in the process of final setup in Canada and should be on its way to me in the Southern Hemisphere next week. It has been a long wait but I admire a manufacturer who insists on maintaining quality control.

Had the work christmas dinner this weekend. Bonus came in! Dingwall time it is!
I'll be ordering yellow. (NG-2 that is) The black has too much black and is gloss (prefer matte).
I've got a friend photoshopping a red contour line on the edge to see how the black/red outline would look, but I think the yellow and black just really pops.

I'm with you on the black. That's why I went with the red

Well I confirmed an additional request to my V4 Combustion. Ordered a third pick up, and have my luthier confirmed to route the body a tad to get me a V4C3X.

Now if Darkglass would release a pre amp.

That sounds epic! What pickup(s) are you putting in which position? The options sound endless!

Grabbing a second neck pick up, then putting them neck/bridge/neck per the shops recommendation.

It sounds like you have a solid tech there! Please follow up with pics and progress reports. I know the Dingwall shop is busy and shipping back and forth across the border can be challenging. A trustworthy source for modifications/service work here in the "states" may be helpful for some folks.

Went to the Warwick showroom in NYC today.. Having never touched a Warwick before, I was expecting greatness... A few of them didn't dissapoint. But I have to say, my AB1 is better than every one of them, and that makes me happy

Great pics and thanks for the background info. Lot's of cool bassists and beautiful basses there for sure, but as for the basses, like Ken, I'm a little partial to that one that is second in from the right!

I'm not sad! I have had some nice basses. None of them have been as nice as my AB1.
