Thanks so much for the kind words guys. Know that they have been heard and have helped ease the painful time.
I'll forever be a Dingwall fan. Their customer service is fantastic and it's always nice when the owner of the company is so personable with his customers.
Sheldon informed me that they long longer make the SJ pickguard with the precision cut out so he went above what any other company would do and he sent me one he had laying around for free which I'm sure would cost a pretty penny if I had ordered one.
Thanks again Sheldon. And to those who want to convert their SJ5 to a PJ I have the template I can send you thanks to Sheldon and reddavid.

I purchased a Dingwall over 20 years ago. Along the way there's been hand written wiring diagrams, endless support and terrific customer service.
Just heard that my v4 combustion is now in Australia. Bass Gear Direct should process it and ship it on to me in New Zealand by tne end of the week. It has been a long wait but I am sure it will have been worth it.

Not to throw a wrench in the works, but the few times I've contacted Dingwall, I felt I got the cold shoulder. Bums me out because I'm a full time pro player and my Super JP/4 is my favorite bass I've ever owned (bought it used). So, I'm not taking away from the quality of the basses as I find them to be so great. But as a dude who always plays 200+ gigs a year, I felt a bit snubbed when I had any questions or requests. That being said, I'll probably never sell my Super JP
