Nice! Do you have the Glock pre with that and a 4-way switch? If so what pickup combinations (lot of possibilities with 3 pickups)?Crappy pic, but I have a Dingwall again:
I'm pretty sure its the Glock pre, but I'm not certain which pickups are in it. (I'm almost ashamed to admit that, but they sounded so good that I didn't even bother asking).

Your superb P has a totally sweet lookin' fret board - enjoy!!!ABZ peeps: never had one before this one. I've always used nickel strings just because they are softer and maybe won't wear frets out as quick. Also I like the soft string feel.
So what are the sound differences, and feel between Dingwall nickels and steels? I like a nice boomy sound with some mid range punch. Not much treble.

A few preliminary thoughts about my new-to-me ABI. Weight, check. Quality, check. Beauty, check. Feel, wonderful. Tone, 3 or four really good ones in there.
It took me no time to get used to it, it sits very comfortably on my lap, and the contour is great for my forearm. Sadly, not much woodsheding yet, or for the next week or so. The only issue I've had is missing a clean g string note here or there when I get a little sloppy and am down in the 6-12 fret area, but I'm sure practice will fix that.
The most surprising aspect is how close the headstock is to my body, not a reach at all, I don't know why I would need the new strap pin placement.
The only slight issue at all is I can't see the frets at all due to the girth of the TI b string and the way the ABI sits on my body, but I don't spend much time staring at the neck any way.
I'll report back after I return from my Mesquite (3 days) and Las Vegas (4 days) trip (leaving tomorrow) and spend more time with it. So far, so good though!

Well, not completely. I picked up an Aggie Tonehammer 500 (still on its way to me). I'm not sure it's ideal for my 8 ohm purple tank, but I am also thinking about a DB 751 (used of course) for a little more power and similar tone.
Not brand new for sure. You might be able to get close to that used, but you will need to be patient and scour the used market.
I like the Nickel strings on my Dingwall Super P/J and Super P. Very even tone from bass to treble. Has a 'softer' feel and sound to me. Seems to fit what I hear in my head for a P/J and P bass.
I didn't like them as much on the Prima Artist (long scale). That bass is a monster, and the Stainless strings on it are frightening. More bass, more mids, more treble. I can roll off the highs when needed, boost the bass (hide your children), etc. You might prefer the Stainless if you like a boomy sound. You'll get more treble/clack at first, but they mellow out a bit over time.
