Yup! I've been looking at some "Vanilla" hot rods lately. Always look so good.

What I really like about white basses on stage is they sort of take on whatever colour of stage-lights happen to be shining on them. Get a custom-coloured bass and it can look pukey very quickly under the wrong lighting.

It's an AB3X...the color was actually supposed to be Trans White but Barry changed it somewhere along the way to Vintage, and it made the contrast between the extra dark wenge and the stark white that much more dramatic...quite the happy accident :thumbsup:

There's no undrilled pickguard though, not sure what you're seeing...or even where, really ;)

Nope, that pickguard has been installed since it was delivered, maybe the uber contrast was playing tricks on your eyes drool

And to be fair...your P bass started this whole thing :D

Classy to say the least!
Sheldon's basses have evolved over the years but his signature has remained quite consistent, referring to the written signature on the headstock. I have a bass from 20+ years ago and it looks exactly the same, unfortunately years ago I left a cloth with a bit of alcohol on it against the headstock in the gig bag overnight and it reacted with the ink/paint so the signature is only visible from a certain angle under the right lighting conditions.
