I've got a a FD-3 (4L) neck pickup that was replaced by a P-tone pickup laying around somewhere. I believe this pickup is the 2nd generation after the original FD3 pickup. Message me if you're interested.

FWIW...Ran across this thread that described the difference between a FD-3 (4L) and a P-tone pickup.

On the road for work, as usual. Long time fan of Dingwall, and currently have 4. May have to pare down to one. Not my choice and will do everything to avoid it, but will report back here Sunday with either links to the classifieds, or to thankfully report I've found another way.

Would like to own one in every conceivable color and options, but life happens to us all eventually!

God is still good, so are Dingwall's.

I put a set of Pure Blues on my Spector, but I just received a Dingwall NG2 and the feel of these strings are really nice to me.

I've been too busy messing with my new AB-II Cheeto. This thing is a ripper. The tone holes are pretty amazing. They really project nicely when unplugged. The pickups sound huge and growly with some good punch. Well tempered but lots of presence. I'm guessing that it feels so light because it's missing two batteries and electronics. There is a huge difference to me between it and both my NG-2 and ABZ.

I already feel right at home with it. The primary reason I got it was because while I love my NG-2, the neck profile is just so different from my ABZ that I can't stand it anymore. I *need* that Afterburner neck. It just feels so fast.

It's an older Z2 4-string that I got from @BuffaloBob4343 last week.
Rob hooked me up with a great price on it due to it needing some work on the electronics.

Now that I've done the electronics work, the bass is a KILLER; all of the ergonomic and feel benefits that I wanted from moving from 5-strings back down to 4, and a great, growly aggressive tone.

This bass feels like home.

I miss it already! The thing weighs like nothing! The neck is just amazing. It sets up super low. And no 4 string bass drop tunes like a Dingwall long-scale. I'm glad John has her. She wasn't treated very well early on, and it's great to know she's still in good hands now.

I had the pleasure of performing at the Rose Theatre in Brampton, ON over the weekend. Found a second to grab a couple pics of my office - the ABI absolutely slayed, and a couple of the tech guys came up to me afterwards to ask about it.

Thanks man... oddly that one is ash/maple/maple...my other one is alder/maple/pau ferro.....eyes closed, I can barely HEAR any differences when theyre set the same (with the same strings) - possibly a tad brighter (avatar one)...but I ended up putting TI flats on my sunburst alder one - they sure sound different NOW. :)

The more I play on these I'm finding a few neck differences. It looks like the AB-II might be a thin profile C shape while my NG-2 is a thicker D shape. The main difference that I can tell is the the shoulders on the back side of the neck near the fretboard seem to be wider with a greater curve on the NG-2 (D shape). The AB-II seems like it is more evenly round. The ABZ has the same thin feel as the AB-II but it also appears to be more D-shaped.
