Well, I have a white NG2 four string on preorder. Hopefully this means it will arrive soon. I'll have to report on the color. I thought it was just a gloss white, but I'm okay with a pearl too to be honest.

I'm wondering if I was mostly put-off because it wasn't what I had expected. Though I do have an affinity for high gloss body finishes, especially with a bright white solid paint underneath.

After thinking about it some more, it likely won't turn that creamy-yellowy colour that white basses eventually turn into though, so that is a plus.

I ordered NG2s in January; they should ship in July-August. When did you order yours?

I went into my local shop today (I don't know why I do this when I'm broke), but they had two new NG-2's hanging on the wall. One was Matte Pearl and the other was Ferrari Red.

I didn't know this Matte Pearl was a colour for the NG-2's, or was this actually Ducati White? I had the impression Ducati White was a bright white under a high gloss, but this was definitely a Matte Pearl.

After doing a google search, I found Nolly posted this image, with the tag, "I've just taken delivery of this beautiful matte pearl @dingwallguitars":

This is what the bass I saw looked like, but a 5'er. To be honest, I wasn't very impressed with the colour. If this is Ducati White, I'll need to rethink what colour I will get when I can get one.

Pricing on a 5 string NG-2? I think it's $1695 for now, though that's on one that was ordered months ago, not one ordered right now.

So it sounds like you Guys are paying roughly $2200 Canadian or more. I guess importation fees and such.

If you have not ever visited bebass's website.. this is it. Link Removed my understanding is that he is about to have "30" Dingwall basses arrive soon! So this might be an opportunity to get a bass without the long wait!! Just thinking out loud here!

I've got the ABZ5 all strung up with some new Dingwall SS strings.

So far I'm digging it much more than I was with some dead nickels on it. Fresh strings would have regardless, but I was beginning to wonder if I just wasn't a fan of the bass in general. I'll be gigging it a few times this weekend to really see what I think.

I was just thinking about all the messed up sounds that come out of those creatures when they get going. Have you ever heard it. It can be crazy. They can get some serious lows and highs, they can turn the treble up, cut the mids if they choose!!!! Lol.

Yeah, I've heard their wild vocalizations but it's been a while. My cat is female but she's spayed.
