There was a used Z very similar to that one for sale on the Dingwall forum not too long ago. Sure had a hard time not pulling the trigger.

I would have to guess that there's essentially no way that'd happen, unless you found a dealer that had one in bound and not yet claimed (@bebass would be worth talking to in that regard, I believe he has a lot of basses coming in). I'd have to guess that you'd be looking at a few more months of waiting though.

Actually, I'm not even sure the 4 strings are that close to delivery.

What band are you in and where are you touring? If you're local, it'd be cool to possibly check you out.

Thanks for the response. I'm not touring as a bass player. I'm part of the audio crew. I'm just a terrible aspiring bass player as a hobby.

Oh, first you want them to feel that you are going out on a tour, then you come back without saying with whom after being asked.. makes folks think that your the roadie for the local garage band! Yes, holler at @bebass he might be able to supply your fix for that BEAD 4 banger!

Let us know ow how alternating between a long scale and short scale works. Until my SJ5XXX arrives I'm alternating between an ABI and a Roscoe SKB 3005 with only a slight oops here and there. Wondering if an all Dingwall rotation will be even easier (I assume it will). BTW, just a stunning bass!
