Dingwall Owners Club

LozzieG, good eye, the bridge was chrome in the first shot, I'm glad I went with black, it all came together so well, all the agonizing over every detail paid off in the end, it took 3 full months to decide, and I still made a last minute change which I'd hoped wouldn't happen, but glad it did.

Ha, it was one of the first things I noticed. TBH I'm a huge fan of black hardware on white/light basses and I thought "you should have gone black" then when I scrolled through the thread and saw the glamour shots I was like "what the deuce?". :)

I think you have made the right decision, it looks amazing!

Thanks for the samples - they do sound good but it's hard to tell the difference with FD3 without a direct back-to-back comparison.

The plan was to record the same clips with the FD3's as well...but these sound so good I haven't been super inclined to take them out ;)

Super sweet. I've always love the Dingwall black transbursts.
Deadly looking axe. My current order is a nat to green burst over this top.
I have a Redwood top for the ABII I have on order. A bit different than yours - but gotta love those tops!

Yeah that for sure but it's so hard to choose. That latest blue maple that Sheldon posted is incredible. I've always wanted one of them............ Too........

I love this redwood as it looks like burned flesh. Such a unit texture of ....... Wood?

MAN! You got that right. I almost called Sheldon 17 times to change the color of two different basses. And my wife says "Don't do that, the color/finish you picked out originally is what you should go with", and then she adds, "And he is too busy for you to bother him...". And I am going, like, "but I saw a pic of this bass today and I want one like that.."

I don't know if anyone here saw, but Payson is running a 20% off promo on his strings right now. It ends at Midnight on Thursday. Use promo code PaysonStrings when ordering.

If you haven't given these strings a try yet, this is a great opportunity to do so cheaply! I have been really, really enjoying these on both of my ABs. I order them in sets of 5 at a go (I like fresh strings and change about every 8 weeks), which is also a way to save.

I know this sounds spamy - I'm not affiliated in anyway with Payson or his strings, other than a very happy user of them.

I hear that.

I just received this beauty today. I traded in My NYC Sadowsky for it which has been my main bass for a few years. Quite a different beast....

I'll post more shots when I get a chance, too busy working and playing it! :)

Lozzie, that is a thing of beauty!

And, the Eagle (SJ5XXX) has landed :hyper:
I will head down to pick it up in a few hours and will even get a chance to play it a bit before I saddle up the Harley and ride 400 miles (via West Yellowstone) tomorrow for our Montana gig on Saturday. If all goes well I'll debut it there.
