Do Stickers Make a Bass Trashy?

ya, the first time i saw Keith Haring's work i was like gobsmacked, there's actually 8 bits & pieces of his work on this pg.
very simple to do
lightly sand the pg & rinse clean with water, dry pg
glue artwork to pg, i overlapped the images a bit, with white adhesive ( glue ) it turns clear as it dries ( just make sure it stays flat w/ no air bubbles )
i trimmed dry image close to pg with an x-acto knife when dry, & finished trimming the image to perfectly fit the bevel with a fine file, only using down strokes, as not to lift the image
touch up bevel of pg with a sharpie if needed
finish with a few coats of clear

I have a Disney princess sticker as well as a Canadian flag/beaver sticker on my Fodera. On the electronics cover, but still.

A few stickers here and there are fine, as long as they fit with how the bass looks. If its covered in stickers, than it looks dumb. Band logo stickers usually look okay on guitars/basses.
Let me put it this way: You won't find any stickers on MY bass. You wanna sticker up yours, go right ahead!
Had an Ibanez gio 5 string. When I sold it, I got almost what I paid for it, the guy who bought it said: "Whoa, it's a nice bass, I've never seen one without stickers all over it".

I'd shave my head with a cheese grater before putting stickers on my bass.
That being said, I can see myself 40 years ago, at 15, thinking it's the coolest thing ever.

Not a bass, but here's something:
Debating a pickguard change, and possibly black hardware, but I'm currently thinking the sticker can stay.

Yes, that's exactly what it is, and it did have several stickers on it when I got it, including a Hurley sticker right below the bridge. Apparently, the PO was a slavish fanboi of some kind.
After cleaning it up as much as possible, the outline of said sticker prompted the placement of the sticker that's on there now.
I think I may change out the pickguard. Additional stickers may follow.
It's really not a bad little guitar.
If I think of the stickers I WOULD have put on my bass if I played when I was younger I'd cringe. If you think you'll always appreciate it then do it. Remember less is more. Also don't put it on the bass if it isn't painted. Wood coloured basses with modern stickers are just wrong
