Do Stickers Make a Bass Trashy?

It depends on the sticker content, music being played, and bass shape.

For example, I purchased a very cheap Jackson guitar a few years ago. It had these really tacky surfer stickers on it like redsand and o'neil. #1. I don't surf. So the stickers came offf immediately and I refinshed the guitar. However, I slapped a bunch of punk stickers on my Jazz bass when I was playing punk music. I have since removed those stickers.

Some basses yes, some basses no.

I put this pinup on my Frankenstrat about 15 years ago...

She IS wearing a swimsuit but my two sons (3 and 6 years old) are constantly grilling me about the "naked lady" on my guitar! I've been wanting to refin it in lake placid blue for years... Maybe it's time.
I also have a Triumph motorcycles sticker on the back of one of my Ps.

Thats just a group of people who happen to not use stickers. I could do the same thing but with stickers.

Billy Joe-Green Day
Matt Freeman-Rancid
Flea-Red Hot Chili Peppers
The bassist from the clash (I'm having a brain fart)
John Entwistle- The Who (He did have spider stickers on at least one of his basses, not painted on graphics but stickers)
Hank WIlliams III
The list of famous people that use stickers goes on and on...

Most of these people are just punks trying to appeal to kids.

I lost all interest in putting stickers on an instrument when I was 16. Anyone that stickers and instrument up to try and convey a message (whatever that may be) is a tool, IMO
