I use the identical rig, even the Xvive in ears. Different bass tho. Haven't run across a situation where I've needed anything more.
I gig a rumble 500, but more and more I find myself wondering why should a bassist have an amp at all? Just bring a DI box and run into the sound system.
If you use a HPF and get rid of unwanted lower frequencies, a smaller amp can work great and save the speakers in the process.
Ive got a Music Man HD150 (that you cant give away these days) that will knock bottles off the wall, even at the half power setting....ive heard and played some SS amps rated at 350 or so watts that sounded weak in comparison.

Because LOTS of the sound systems of bars and clubs suck. Badly.
...and the monitors, suck, badly.
I want to sound great to the audience and to me. Way more fun that way.

maybe you're seeing 'selectively', or maybe you're misinterpreting folks' sarcasm/humor...i don't get that message at all around here...and i'm a regular.
but i get your point, i agree, and i'm sure the vast majority of TB members who actually play gigs would agree that playing EB calls for enough rig for the gig. period.

Depends on your PA, depends on how loud you play. Speaker are more important than power.
Used to play in an 8 piece horn band. No FOH. SVT w/ 2 8x10's. Band liked 'em but wouldn't help move them!

I usually bring a Rumble 500 w/ 2x10, Genz Benz 2x10 cab, 1x15 cab, Shuttle 12.0. I choose which bits to use when I get to the venue, which is often an unknown quantity prior to gig time. I also have a couple of other components I don't carry on a regular but can toss in the car at a moment's notice. I have come to believe there is no "one size fits all" solution, at least for me. YMMV.

Just so you’re aware-I’m seeing no spaces in your post either & I did read it prior to the other poster pointing that out.
I did observe proper punctuation, no profanity & good grammar. It did resemble a stream of consciousness/run on sentence but made total sense of thought.
Can we all agree the HPF is now the official outboard device of TB? I never realized how much as needed one til almost every thread says I do.
