Ya, made by Bugera...5000 watt tube head?
Weight?
I've been gigging a 1x12 markbass 300 watt combo for years. In bar bands, big stages, little stages, and in between. It's almost always run DI into FOH. For small gigs it can carry the room, but mostly it's a stage monitor for the bass and FOH is pushing bass out to the audience.

Good Lord...I gig a rumble 500, but more and more I find myself wondering why should a bassist have an amp at all? Just bring a DI box and run into the sound system.
Because LOTS of the sound systems of bars and clubs suck. Badly.I gig a rumble 500, but more and more I find myself wondering why should a bassist have an amp at all? Just bring a DI box and run into the sound system.

Link RemovedTell me where to get this 5000 watt tube head!
maybe you're seeing 'selectively', or maybe you're misinterpreting folks' sarcasm/humor...i don't get that message at all around here...and i'm a regular.so something i've been pondering for a while on here and i'm pretty young 33 here but...i've seen a lot of nah you need 5000 watt tube rig for a bar gig with a drummer and x or xx guitars....enlighten me
Those were definitely NOT the good old days!
I usually bring a Rumble 500 w/ 2x10, Genz Benz 2x10 cab, 1x15 cab, Shuttle 12.0. I choose which bits to use when I get to the venue, which is often an unknown quantity prior to gig time. I also have a couple of other components I don't carry on a regular but can toss in the car at a moment's notice. I have come to believe there is no "one size fits all" solution, at least for me. YMMV.Yes, the are absolutely no rules in punk...Post is proof there’s too many rules in punk, which is supposed to be devoid of rules to begin with
Maybe it's my device, but I see no spaces, and a long post with no spaces is tedious to read.
But maybe it's just me, I donno.![]()
