Do you have a stage name?

No, but our drummer does. But he's a, you know, drummer...

Not a name I chose. My real name is Grant. The guys in the band started calling me Grantonian last year. Don't know why. They even introduce me that way sometimes. Doesn't bother me.

The only other time I had a stage name was for a trailer trash theme costume party gig. We were renamed the Trailer Trash Band for the evening and each took alternate personas. I was Zeke.

Grantonian/Smithsonian: You have become respectable! My condolences.:D

Freez. Has nothing to do with cold though. My name is Jeffrey, there's a Jeffries Freeway near where I live, work buddies made the jump from that to Freezway, which got shortened to Freez by lazy tongues. Wow, never realized how boring that story was until I saw it in print...

It’s not at all original, but for the past decade or so I’ve been known as “The Captain.” This nickname was given to me by locals here in Macon, GA. It stems a lot from my oft wearing of your typical Sailor’s cap around town, as well as my love of the typical “Yacht Rock” Music and lifestyle of the late 70s and early 80s. I’m also a certified advanced water diver, and USCG certified for basic ship captaining. It started innocently enough, and I ran with it. Branding works, and it has definiteky helped with marketing over the years.

That reminds me of a local band I saw once, the guitarist was wearing a Captain Crunch style Admiralty jacket. In my head, I referred to him as “The Commodore”.
